Unreal and completely deaf to your main user set to not include it as a feature. There are literally more type features in this current dialogue box I’m commenting in.

ADD TYPE/PARAGRAPH FEATURES!!

Yup. Really need this feature please.
This is more important than any AI features.

Joined the forum just to add my vote for this! How is the ability to adjust line spacing not yet a thing??

Miro developers and powers that be if you’re reading this… please do us all a favor and bump this up on the priority list for ASAP updates! 🙏

Same here!

i joined the community just to upvote this! Really keen to use Miro more for presenting, formatting is a big blocker for me to achieve this though

Throwing in my vote for basic paragraph formatting features. We’re using Miro exclusively for our presentation layouts now thanks to how fast and collaborative the format is. But PLEASE can we add basic paragraph formatting. Even Open Office / Google Docs has this functionality...

For me, this would include:

  1. Line spacing options (ideally at the PT level, but I’ll take ½, 1x, 2x etc).
  2. Add space before/after (again, ideally at the PT level, but even by predetermined amounts. A double-enter is too much of a gap).
  3. Basic kerning/tracking options.

Even if these functions were restricted to pro users. Please, I beg you, I’m currently doing it manually with text boxes.

Thank you!

This should really be implemented. One of the biggest draw-backs to using Miro for workshop preparations, etc. The bullet lists are just bad to read. Too dense.

Another vote. Please consider the continuous streams of responses in this chat and seriousy think about adding this function to make Miro unbeatable to other competitors.

I agree, needed !

It’s been five years now. Without line-height support, my slides still look like they were made by an eighth-grader using PowerPoint for the first time 😢

pushing AI - that we don t want over this is something i can t understand.

Yes I’ll be blunt here, stop with the AI and fix this massively important basic feature missing from your software… unless AI will be clever enough we can just tell it to adjust the line height!

PLEASE PLEASE add this. We’re using Miro a lot now for presenting things like plans, and the mix of looking professional whilst also being a flexible online whiteboard format to show people around, add post it notes etc, is really good (can’t do this with Google presentations or Adobe stuff.

BUT That means we do still need the ability to control things like line height to control the space of text / readability / style etc.

Just to add to this - this should include at minimum (per text box):

  • A global paragraph before/after spacing
  • Specific paragraph before/after spacing
  • Global line height (the lines within a paragraph)
  • Specific selected text or paragraph line height
  • Specific selected text size (different from the global font size in the text box)

In an ideal world - it would include ALL the standard text controls the same as Adobe does - e.g. kerning, spacing, stretch, x-height (moving selected character(s) up/down), margin and tab indent spacing etc.

In an ideal ideal world, it would also include a “Styles (paragraph/character)” set up, so we could set up a document / template-wide styles that we could apply to any selected text box, or individual line (for headings etc) or text inside.

I realise this is a lot of stuff, so prompts a strategic question of whether you’d go to head to head with the graphic / DTP / Word Processing / presentation application providers. But at the moment, none of them can do the open whiteboard arrangement that is so flexible and brilliant for interacting with remote parties…

If you were to do that and it makes the program slower… might need an offline (local cache) mode. I say this whilst trying to work in the back of a vehicle driving through spotty mobile signal which is really difficult and SLOW as Miro keeps freezing and bugging out.

This is just too basic, is it that hard to implement? Maybe it is, otherwise I can’t understand why this isn’t ready yet.

I get that AI is a selling point but I would have used basic editing features much more often than any AI.

This idea was submitted 5 years ago. Really? Please make it happen!
