import/export DBML files for DB structure

DBAs pain is to structure DB schema and relate fields between tables.

One way to build DB structure mapping is by using DBML syntax.

It can be a real pain to write manually a DBML file.

There are some tools to deal with building DBML file manually but it still pretty hard.

I believe that using Miro’s super easy UX will help creating DB maps easily and there for I’d like to ask for the DBML import/export feature.

Was it helpful?

DBLM and/or SQL import/export would go a long way to making Miro’s ERD useful.  We have very large data models and it can take weeks to get them into Miro today.  And for up front modeling it’s just too slow and complicated to work with.

The end result of a Miro ERD does look nice and is helpful in terms of documentation, however, it does not fit within a collaborative workflow for a software development team where the results of the modeling can be turned into a database schema.

Agree with Mike above.  Having the ability to ability to import/export which provides the ability to keep a DB schema in sync is a feature that is missing.  Without that feature I don’t see the point of using this within Miro.  There’s plenty of alternatives out there that provide that functionality.

Please add this feature. This is the sort of feature that would cement miro as a market leader. I’ve been loving mapping out databases with Miro, it feels like i’m mapping out neurons in my brain; making miro more compatible with the work done by my peers would turn miro from a quirky tool to a mirror of the real world.

Please add this feature. Agreed with all that has been said above.
