@Bob Hartman - I received this message from Miro support via overnight expedited courier (okay, just regular) email:

The team confirmed that there was a bug on our end causing this behavior - we sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience!
 
We're happy to let you know that this issue has been successfully resolved.

I did a few tests and it does appear to be resolved 🤝

    Yup. Much better today. No more popups and no more celebration confetti each time.
