We have separate Jira projects for enhancement requests and committed work. When an enhancement request ticket is committed to, we move it to the new Jira project and the issue key changes. Jira is able to maintain the historical details and the original issue key/web link will redirect to the new one. We use Jira cards when we do PI planning for the enhancement requests. However, once the issues are moved to the new project, the cards do not update. Clicking “source” will take you to the new ticket with the correct details but the cards are dead and maintain the details as they were before the move. This is frustrating as we would like the board/cards to stay updated.
