Ability to archive boards

Related products:Other

We have so many projects the list is getting so long, we would love the ability to archive boards. The ability to still find them if need but clean up the main pages by archiving them would be great!

Was it helpful?

Hello, I have exactly the same need. Too much board in the main page. And some of them concerns old projects. So I don’t want to delete them but to put them apart to have a main page cleaner. It will take to much time to create a project on the current topics.

I also have the same need. We have boards no one has touched in a long time, sometimes where the owner has left the organization. I was writing a script to do this for me, but what I would like is:

  • Let me bulk select a bunch of boards or entire projects OR let me select every board that hasn’t been updated in the last 6/9/12 months, then
  • Give me the option to archive them. If I say yes, print a PDF of each into my file share/SharePoint. [and if the board owner didn’t create any frames, create a frame then print]. Name the PDF files with a naming convention that helps me find it later, maybe something like ProjectName/BoardName/OwnerName/CreateDate.
  • Put them in the trash, where they can wait for a bit then either get perma-deleted with a new retention policy or get rescued by me/another admin if someone suddenly decides they need it.

If you want to make my life MUCH easier, then extend the concept of the retention policy so I can automatically put boards in the trash when no one touches them in a while.
