I would like to be able to use different kinds of pens/brushes, often found in paint apps. I find the pen with customization colors and thicknesses, but can’t find something like brushes, markers, calligraphy pen tips, etc. But I have seen what looks like paint features in some sample boards in the discussions. If it’s in Miro, where do I find it?

Thanks.

This is all I find (image from my tutorial board) but ...

Something like this is what I’m looking for:

Was it helpful?

Hi

@Patrick Degenaar recently suggested sketchbook pro as a tool - no integration but awesome capability for free with multiple pen types.

There is an integration for sketch.com at  https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017731173-Miro-Plugin-for-Sketch - but I don’t know what its got for pens - seems more aimed at shapes

Free form shapes with configurable transparency would do half the trick.

To be able to easily colour-shade an area free-hand would make designs and diagrams a lot easier to consume.

This is one of the things I would like the most from Miro. We use it as a digital whiteboard at work, but I really would like to have a pen tip that was like a chisel tip expo marker to really give it that whiteboard feel. Extra points for irregularity in the stroke that makes it look more interesting :)

I recently used the pen feature in Miro during a remote talk to a large audience, and it really added to the presentation, but really wish I could make things look nicer than the default round pen.

All in all, keep up the great work. Miro is an amazing tool
