This is in part off the back of a “flaw” in the current selection method. However I realise this is probably more a “please change” than a “please fix” and so I have raised it as a wish list idea.
I am so frustrated by the drag select feature. I am often finding myself having to start my select from outside of a frame, or having to zoom right in to avoid causing the following problem:
When I start a selection, either using shift+click+drag or just click+drag, if my cursor is within approximately 1 cm of the inside edge of a frame, it will instead of drawing a box, drag the frame.
I find this incredibly frustrating.
I recognise there is a need to click and drag a frame, however it is not necessary to do this with the shift key held down. When the shift key is down I am deliberately making an effort to select multiple items, and so this should be reflected by ALWAYS drawing a box when I click and drag.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can you make this happen, I and my desk would be eternally grateful.
