When I move any connection line, it has a movement delay compared to normal drawn lines.
Hi
To better understand what’s happening, please share the following:
-
Does this delay happen consistently, or only on certain boards?
-
Are you noticing the lag with all connection lines or only specific ones (e.g. curved, elbow, or straight)?
-
Are you working in the browser or desktop app? If browser, which one?
-
Are there any specific actions that trigger this behavior?
If possible, a short screen recording would be super helpful to see the delay in action. That’ll help us either suggest a workaround or escalate it appropriately.
Looking forward to your reply!
Is there an Email I can send It to that you can access?
I don’t have any OneDrive/Dropbox/Google Drive accounts set up right now.
Also answers to questions:
- Consistently
- All connection lines
- Browser (Google Chrome)
- I just draw a straight connection line, then move it whilst still selected with a “pen-ed” line and I noticed that the connection line lags behind the pen one. Although the problem still arises when I only select the connection line. (I use the Miro mindmap for Study Notes, and I draw a lot of stuff with the pen tool and connection lines, so this is pretty annoying)
Hi
Thanks so much for the extra details—super helpful!
I understand how frustrating that delay must be, especially when you're working on detailed study notes with both pen and connection lines.
To move forward, could you try a few troubleshooting steps to help rule out performance or browser-related issues? You can find them here: Board performance and loading issues – Miro Help Center
In particular, please try:
-
Clearing your browser cache
-
Disabling browser extensions
-
Testing in an incognito window
-
Updating your browser or testing in another (e.g., Edge or Firefox)
As for sharing your screen recording: while we can’t receive email attachments directly via the forum, you can upload the video using Loom. Then just paste the link here.
Let me know how it goes after the troubleshooting steps, and if the issue persists, I’ll be happy to help escalate it further.
