When creating a template, I can use the first page as the thumbnail but when I then use the template to create a copy and to use for a particular client, the only thumbnail I can choose is from the clip art icons. Is there a way I can continue to use the first page as the thumbnail?

Did you “duplicate” the board by clicking the make a copy button?
Based on my replication, the thumbnail of my template was set by default and I have the option to choose within the available icons or customize my board’s cover photo.
Could you please share a screenshot or short video demonstrating the issue? This could really help us investigate your case further.
