Over the last week or so I have found that sometimes ALL the sticky notes on the board lose their colour. The editor still thinks they have a colour, but that show as transparent…

A page refresh doesn’t work.

 

Anyone seen this, and have a way to fix it…?

Could you share a screenshot showing what you’re seeing on your end? That’ll help us better understand the issue.

 

Also worth noting — Miro is currently updating the default colors and palettes across the platform to improve accessibility and provide more flexibility. These updates include the sticky note colors, with more shades being introduced for better pairing and visual clarity.

 

That said, the sticky notes should still appear clearly colored, if they’re showing as transparent despite a color being selected, it may be a bug, and we’d like to look into it further.

Hi, here is an image of the issue.  As you can see the selected sticky (the other visible text are sticky’s too) is now transparent, even though the toolbar says it is blue.  I tried a page refresh, but that didn’t help.

From what I see, this definitely looks like a visual rendering issue, especially since:

  • The toolbar shows a blue fill color,

  • But the sticky appears fully transparent on the board, and

  • A refresh doesn’t resolve it.

 

A few quick follow-ups to help pinpoint the cause:

  1. Does this happen across multiple boards, or just one?

  2. Is this happening on another user as well? If possible, could you check if another user who has access to the same board can see the same issue on their end? 

  3. Are you using any plugins, browser extensions, or custom display settings (like high contrast mode)?

  4. What browser or app version are you using (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Miro Desktop App)?

In the meantime, a few things you could try:

  • Switch browsers (or try incognito mode) to rule out extension conflicts.

  • Zoom in/out slightly or toggle between grid view and regular view — sometimes forces a re-render.

  • If using the desktop app, try clearing the app cache: Settings > Advanced > Clear cache.

  4. What browser or app version are you using (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Miro Desktop App)? I am using Firefox (138.0.1)

 

 

Solutions for now.

  1. I can try Chrome next time.
  2. Zooming does not effect the situation, and
  3. I cannot use the desktop app, as my pc is controlled by my company.
