Hi Community,

Does anyone have any tips for me? This issue is really frustrating.

I'm an active Miro user, often working with around 15 boards open in the desktop app. Occasionally, I'm required to re-enter passwords, but when this happens, the board names disappear, and the tabs are all labeled simply as "Miro." This makes it difficult to identify which board needs the password.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Martin Pettersson

Sorry to hear about your frustration with handling password management and multiple boards. While I don’t have an easy answer yet, this has been discussed before in this thread, which features a few workarounds (including tracking board IDs and passwords in Excel). Hopefully something there is helpful to you.

@Martin Pettersson - I just took at look at your scenario and, yes, there is definitely a gap.

I didn’t see a Wish List idea post for users to upvote for a solution, so I created one:

https://community.miro.com/ideas/display-board-name-somewhere-when-being-prompted-for-password-16888

And in my testing, I found a partial workaround (as long as you have also saved the board link somewhere). Here it is:

If you find yourself in the desktop app and cannot see the board link, you should still be able to copy it to your clipboard from the “Enter the password” prompt by using the keyboard short: Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-L. Then, search your list of stored passwords by the board ID in the link, e.g.,:

For example, in this link:

https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVsxxxeKpseI=/?share_link_id=335394

The board ID is: uXjVsxxxeKpseI=
