When attempting to open a password protected board, the board name is not visible to the user – happening to me in both a browser and Miro desktop app.

This creates a challenge for someone who only knows passwords by the board name, and not the link/URL.

From the desktop app:

From a browser:

Workaround until a solution is delivered is to store the board link with the password, and just the board name...

If you find yourself in the desktop app and cannot see the board link, you should still be able to copy it to your clipboard from the “Enter the password” prompt by using the keyboard short: Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-L. Then, search your list of stored passwords by the board ID in the link, e.g.,:

For example, in this link:

https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVsxxxeKpseI=/?share_link_id=335394

The board ID is: uXjVsxxxeKpseI=

@Robert Johnson I’ve been confused by this as well.
However since descriptive names is best practice, showing the name before entering a password, would risk exposing confidential information to anyone obtaining the link.

Possible solution that satisfies confidentiality
Perhaps a mid-way solution would be to show the board’s ID, but not the name. Then the public information is visible, but not the confidential information?
