Miro Team invite link not redirecting users to the board

I am unable to open the Miro link given to me. Either it immediately asks me to sign in, or if I’m already logged in, it brings me to my homepage, NOT the miro board in question. This is my first time using Miro and I don’t know why it’s not working.

For reference, this is the Miro link I was given: [link removed for privacy purposes]

Update: I was mistaken about this being a Guest invite link. Since the board is a Free Plan team workspace, the link was a Team invite link.

@Bojack Norseman Neither the support team nor I were able to reproduce the issue on our end. If this keeps happening to your friend, have them post here and I or another mod will get them connected with the support team.

@Bojack Norseman This appears to be a Guest link, generated using the Copy guest link action in a Business or Enterprise subscription. What is lesser known, and I only found reference to on one help center article, is that these links expire after 30 days, so you’ll need to ask the board owner to either create another Guest share link or add you as a guest to the board.

Here is a Wish List post asking for these links not to expire:

I also requested that expired links at least direct the board owner back to the original board — this is relevant here as you may shared the board link with the board, they click on it and they too are directed to their dashboard, with no context as to which board the link was for.

Apparently they have just created that link, so it shouldn’t have expired? But I will ask again. Thanks.

Can I ask what happened when you tried to click my Miro link? Did it also bring you to your dashboard?

It did, which is unexpected. I'll report the issue to the support team. Until it is resolved, users would need to switch to the team space using the team workspace switcher on the dashboard:

So if I’m understanding you right, I need to have my e-mail added to the team for me to view it, correct? Thanks for your help and prompt replies.

@Bojack Norseman

No, you should be able to see the team (called “test”) from your dashboard by using the team workspace switcher (in previous reply). Once you’ve switch to the dashboard, you should see the board and be able to access it (I’ll DM you the link to the board just in case — DMs can be found here → https://community.miro.com/inbox/overview).

Thanks for your help and prompt replies.

You’re welcome!
