Seemingly, a bug, so I wonder if anyone else has seen it.
In the active user search, once I’ve typed the first symbol, Miro would change the focus from the search field to something else. So if I keep typing, nothing else would appear in the search field. I have to return to the search field by clicking on it, then I can finish typing. It’s a permanent issue, appears at least in Edge and Chrome, and I’ve had it already for quite a while.
Hi
Thank you for reporting this issue! Losing focus in the user search field definitely sounds like a frustrating experience. To help us investigate further, could you please provide a bit more information?
- Does the issue occur consistently across all boards or only on specific ones?
- Have you tried testing in an incognito/private mode in both Edge and Chrome? This can help determine if browser extensions are causing the problem.
- Have you cleared your browser cache or checked if the same issue occurs in another browser?
- If possible, could you share a short video or detailed steps to replicate the issue?
If the issue persists despite these checks, I recommend contacting Miro Support directly for a more in-depth investigation. You can include the details shared here to help them address the issue promptly.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can assist with!
I’m not sure what the first qustion really means: I do search through active users in the company, it’s an admin function, i.e. it has nothing to do with boards as such.
Detailed steps to reproduce are quite straitforward: go to the company management page > Active users > click on the search field and start typing.
I haven’t tried cleaning the browser cache, but I have never used Chrome on that particular machine, so it had been perfectly clean before I reproduced the issue there (I normally use Edge). I also tried incognito mode, it happens there as well.
Thanks for the details,
I have your post converted into a support ticket so this can be investigated. Please check your inbox for support’s response.
Miro support team confirmed it had been a bug, successfully resolved. Coincidentally, the admin interface got a major update at exactly the same day, therefore I didn’t even have a chance to test. In the new admin interface the issue is not reproducing, i.e. fixed anyways🥳
