It is possible to have dynamic copies of elements in a Miro Board?

Hi all,

I may be over-stretching the capability of Miro here but here goes…..

Is it possible to have dynamic copies of elements in Miro? I don’t know if that’s the correct terminology, but what I mean is a ‘mirror’ or ‘ghost’ copy of something. One where, if the original element is changed, then the dynamic copy also updates/changes.

For example, I might update a cell in a table with a new word or number. let’s say I have a copy of that same table elsewhere on the Miro board, is it possible to make the information in that other table uautomatically update to reflect the information in the original table?

I have a similar question for post-it notes and non-written things too. Say for example moving shapes around the board.

Thanks

Justin

@Justin Connolly - This is currently not possible without building it yourself using the Miro Developer Platform.

Here is a Wish List post where anothe user has asked for similar functionality - I would suggest upvoting it. You can also post your own idea if you feel this one doesn't capture what you are trying to do:

There is a Miro add-in that does this to a limited extent developed by @Markus Smet called Carbon Copy. See this discussion thread for more info: https://community.miro.com/developer-platform-and-apis-57/plugin-for-sync-ing-widget-duplicates-just-launched-carboncopy-v2-6070

Thanks Kiron,

I have since found the Carbon Copy add-in. It is a sort of work around for what I want and may be useful.

I’ve got minor issues with it though in terms of it doesn’t seem to be working properly, which prompts a further question from me around what is the support/help options for add-ins?

Thanks for tagging @Markus Smet, I watched his videos and like Carbon Copy. I might just be having challenges with it as I’m stretching its functionality!
