Business Plan or Consulting Plan?
I’m trying to figure out the best way to create collaboration with clients over an extended period, so Day Passes don’t sound like they are going to cut it. I’m currently on a Business Plan. Does this work or should I be on the Consultant Plan (I’ve got about fifteen employees and contractors currently using it)? Do I need to make the clients team members? I only want them to have access to one board. How do people manage this?
Short-term access by clients
I’m a new Miro user. I have the Consultant plan and will use Miro to do brainstorming with sticky notes with my clients. I’ll use the Miro tool for approx 2.5 hours to complete 3 short brainstorming exercises with each client (typically a group of 7 - 10 people). A few questions:How do I invite those people to access the boards I created? Note: That group will not access the board again. I’ll then use the same board (after erasing content from client #1 with client #2 later that day or the next. Should I have one board with the three sections or three boards each with its own template? Am I supposed to create a “Team” for each client? Thank you for your assistance.
HELP with settings
HELP!I am new to Miro. I signed up for a free group account instead of a free individual account by mistake. I don’t want my board to be seen, used, or edited by anyone but I just got a request from someone to edit my board.Where do I change the settings to make the board “view only” or “private” but still free?Can I export my existing board to a new individual account? If so, how?Thanks.
Miro got blocked by office network?
Hi guys,It’s about the network/security restrictions to access Miro.My client was trying to open Miro boards from their office network, but seems like Miro is blocked so they couldn’t open Miro boards from browser. I’m wondering if Miro is using any specific network protocols, ports ... that may cause any access restrictions? Very much appreciated if you have any idea to share. Best regards,Ethan
When to book a day pass?
Hi there,I am planning my very first workshop and wondering about some details regarding day passes. Since I would like the external workshop participants (15 people) to be able to e.g. write comments or use sticky notes etc., I think I will have to book an individual day pass for each participant, right? I don’t want them to be able to make any changes before the workshop starts. As I would like to send the links to the participants the day before the workshop I am therefore wondering, if thereis a possibilty to set up a time manually, from when the day pass is working. Is this possible?Or is there any other option you can recommend? I don’t want the participants to have access to any other board than the workshop board and want them to be able to be interactive just when the workshop starts.Thanks a lot ind advance! Visual notes breaks my formatting, any ideas how to prevent this?
I use visual notes in many boards to use during customer interviews. I have created a template with header formatting on several prompts to act as predefined placeholders. I haven’t figured out exactly when this happens, but it seems to add extra spaces and remove a character overnight. Has anyone else seen this or know what is causing it? I fix it and format it the way I want and it keeps happening (seemingly) every day. Thanks!
Hide Link Buttons
Hi guys, I’m actually creating user flows in Miro and import/sync mobile screen designs from Sketch App to the Miro board. Then I link from each of these synced screen designs to Zeplin (for the developers / measurements etc.) – Experienced this as a quite nice workflow!Only annoying point: Depending on the view zoom, the link buttons in the upper right corner are quite large and so cover content. Is there any trick/function to hide the link buttons (like “hide comments”) to have a cleaner and undisturbed view? Thanks in advance! Best,Christop

On the main site the license is showing as $10 for the paid account but inside my login when I visit pricing it’s showing $20 (Monthly). It’s just for my own use and I would love to take the $10/ month pricing to start using the premium features for now. Help!
Inviting Non-Team Users to Boards
I am trying to invite external collaborators to a board that I do not want to provide a public link for. A few days ago, I was able to send e-mail invitations to users outside of my license, and when they accepted, they displayed in my Active Users section as “non-team users” with Occasional licenses. Here’s a screenshot:Now, when I try to invite external collaborators to the same board, I get the following error message: It seems to be forcing me to invite users as members of my team, and no longer allows them to be Occasional Non-Team Users. Why is this happening all of a sudden?
@mention notifications in chat?
Is an @mention in chat supposed to send a notification? I have the notifications turned on in my settings and the function works great if I’m @mentioned in a comment. But I do not receive a notification when I’m @mentioned in chat. If anyone has a though on how to get that to work, I would be grateful.
Template for team building
I saw a link somewhere in Miro content for a really detailed Team building board template, but now I can’t find it. It was just two or three weeks ago. It included frames for each team member, with likes and dislikes, communication tips, and other “get-to-know-you” questions. I’ve looked in all the blogs but can’t find it. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Have you seen it?Thanks.
Have free account; am considering switching to consultant plan; mysteriously have 2 users, want to reduce to 1 only
I set up a free Miro account months ago to get to know it a bit. Mysteriously, I seem to have set up 2 users, even though I only meant to set it up for myself. I found this out when I was considering signing up for Consultant plan. when I went to upgrade to that plan, it told me I have 2 users? For the life of me, cannot figure out how to remove that 1 mysterious user, since I will be the sole account holder as single consultant. Thank you!
