Hello 
Someone created a diagram from a group of items in a Miro board. Now I can see that menu instead of my usual frame title, leading to several usage/support problems:

Problem: I cannot find the way to delete this diagram frame.

When trying to do it by simply selecting the diagram frame (around the group of items)>clicking on the three dots>"Delete, I get the error "You can't delete parent node, when child nodes are in editing mode”. 
There is no “node” configured per se. Just someone that misclicked on the “create a diagram” button on the grouped items.

People are using the Miro board at the time I am trying, but others parts of it, not the grouped items concerned here by the diagram.

How can I delete this diagram thing now?
I cannot ask the diagram creator to just CTRL+Z as it has been some time and many changes/actions have been done since then then.

That error — “You can't delete parent node, when child nodes are in editing mode” — typically appears when some part of the diagram (even if it's not visibly being edited) is still considered active by Miro.

A few steps to try:

  1. Refresh the board and make sure no one else is actively editing the diagram or its items.

  2. Try ungrouping the items inside the diagram first (right-click > “Ungroup”).

  3. Then, attempt to exit the diagram structure:

    • Select the diagram group, right-click, and look for an option like “Convert to group” or “Ungroup diagram” (this will revert it to regular items).

 

If none of these work, and you're sure no one else is editing that section:

  • Try again in incognito mode or after clearing your cache.

  • If possible, ask a board owner or editor with full permissions to attempt the deletion — sometimes permission levels affect this.

Thank you very much for your detailed answer and help!
I tried everything you mentioned (and FYI I am actually the board owner, so I have full permissions here) and unfortunately I cannot find the option “Convert to group” or “Ungroup diagram”.
Hereunder some screenshots to show you the situation: 

On this first one you can see I have well ungrouped everything, as there is only the “Group objects” option on the top menu.

But then when I right click on the diagram frame I get these option only, and so no “Convert to group” or “Ungroup diagram” : 
 


Here are the screenshots from Incognito mode, so clean cache, logged in as myself so with board owner rights. 
And to be fairly honest I am sure nobody is working on anything except me as I duplicated the initial board, so only myself in it currently.

 

Tricky situation as you can see… Do you happen to have any more ideas? :s
