I'm randomly going from Zooming to Scrolling with my mouse wheel. What's going on?

Mouse wheel randomly switches between zoom and scroll functions while working on Miro board. This inconsistent behavior occurs during regular use, making it difficult to maintain precise control over board navigation. The issue persists regardless of using the desktop app or browser version.

Hi all, I did not find the setting under Profile Settings at the top right (​@Eca  reply), but instead board preferences at the top left (what ​@Robert Johnson reply). Feel like best answer steps are not accurate.

    ​@Loek Bosman - It sounds like you probably have a laptop/device with a touchscreen and your Miro navigation is set to auto-detect. I would recommend forcing it to to Mouse (if you want zoom when scrolling) or to trackpad (if you want panning).

      Robert suggests that your device's navigation mode might be set to "Auto-detect." This can cause conflicting behavior if you have a touchscreen laptop.

       

      Here's how to fix it:

      1. Change Navigation Mode:
        • Open your Miro board.
        • Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
        • Go to "Settings" > "Navigation."
        • Choose "Mouse" if you want the mouse wheel to zoom, or "Trackpad" if you prefer it to pan the board.
