Confirm that it’s in your clipboard by pasting it somewhere outside of the timeline
Paste it into a record
Actual: Nothing is pasted. Existing text is cleared.
Expected: The copied content is inserted into the timeline record label.
Is this a bug or a feature request?

Hi @Daniel Kaplan — I also tested this on my end and wasn’t able to paste text into a timeline record either.
I’ll go ahead and share this feedback with the team and ask for confirmation on whether this behavior is intended or a bug. Will follow up here once I hear back!

Okay thanks. Should I mark this as accepted or wait for you to reply with their feedback?
Hi @Daniel Kaplan — I don’t seem to have an issue copying some text and pasting it into a timeline record: GIF dhttps://imgur.com/a/Zkj5Inp], so I would assume you’re experiencing a context specific bug. Let’s wait on @Eca ‘s response, though. Best of luck!
Hi @Daniel Kaplan, thanks for your patience! As per the team, they could not reproduce the behavior. I followed up with them and shared my replication. I’ll update you once I heard back.
@Carlos Viña, thanks for jumping in and sharing your experience! Could you please share how exactly you pasted the text?
On my end, I just followed the same steps Daniel described and showed in the GIF — I copied the word “test” from the first task, then tried pasting it into the second task field. The field stayed clear.
When I pasted outside the field, the “test” text appeared, but inside the task field it wasn’t inserted — instead, it was recognized as a separate object within the “text box”.
Really appreciate your patience — I’ll follow up as soon as I know more!

Are you using the browser or the desktop app? I’m using the windows desktop app.
Hi! I’m using the browser on a Mac, and I did take the same steps as @Daniel Kaplan: I copied the text from the “Second task” with keyboard shortcut (cmd+C), then selected the text inside the “First task”, (and then the “Third task” as well) and pasted with cmd+V.
In my case the text didn’t stay cleared, but was replaced with the copied text, as expected.
I have tried this in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, with the same outcome.
