Hi Miro family, I am interested in getting better at template design. I really want to make things that look good while at the same time meeting the client’s expectations. I am most eager to design for workshop ideation as well as project management. I’ve gone through the resources but there’s a lot and I am hoping someone can help me focus on a few things that I should target. Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I’d suggest taking a look at relevant templates in Miroverse as there are quite a few there related to the topics you’ve mentioned.

A few tips I can offer are:

  1. Use a consistent set of object sizes and text styles/sizes
  2. Try to avoid nesting frames so that exported boards won’t have duplicated content
  3. Follow some sort of a navigation path through the board to make it easy for participants to get around. I prefer to go left to right, but you can go in a spiral or any other route so long as it is intuitive
  4. After your title frame, have a basic orientation frame for folks who are new to Miro and include an ice breaker frame
