Help with the "edit" button

Niro Silva

I read the Community FAQ, about editing a post. Though I can’t find the button to edit.

  1. Yes, it’s my own post.
  2. Yes, I am logged in. I tried re-logging as well.
  3. The post has been up for about 2 days.

Am I missing something? Is there a time limit to edit a post?

Perfect!

hi @Niro Silva

There shouldn’t be a time limit to edit posts. Check to see that you have the latest version of your browser, and that you have deleted old cookies and disabled ad-blockers. Sometimes that helps to shake things loose a bit.

@Niro Silva - If Elva’s suggestions still don’t resolve the issue, I have few questions.

From  the number of Likes in your screenshot, it appears that you are unable to edit this post:

I also see that you have created three posts/topics in total:

https://community.miro.com/search/activity/topics?userid=86274

Are you able to edit the other two posts?

Have you changed your Miro account or forum profile since you posted?

Hey @ElvaMiro , I performed the following:

1. The issue is with Google Chrome, so I switched to Firefox, same issue.

2. Checked if both browsers are in the latest version, true in both cases.

3. Used my mobile browser, installed Opera, and tried fresh, exact same issue.

4. I don’t have ad-blockers active.

5. Tried incognito mode in Google Chrome, same issue

Regardless of the browser or device, the issue persists.

Using this topic as an example:

I can’t edit the topic itself (first post)

Though, I can edit my latest comment:

Hey @Robert Johnson , to answer your questions:
1. I can’t edit any of the three posts, including this current “Ask a Community” post.
2. No, I did not perform any change to my Miro profile or account since. I made a post last Friday, came back online on Monday(today), noticed I couldn’t edit anymore.
3. I also made another finding on this post, you can have a look at my previous comment.

Thanks in advance!

@Niro Silva - Can you try again? The Community team made some config changes.
