Export to PDF - Best Quality - Does not work

Hello everyone,

I want to export a Board to a PDF, but it does not let me. As soon as I click on “Export PDF” - “Best Quality” it loads shortly, but nothing happens.

If I choose “Small file size” - it works, but the quality is to bad to be used. I tried a different board - It does not let me. Which is odd, because I did export the board before with best Quality and it worked like a charm.

Can you help me here?

Cheers, Andi

@Andreas Ehlert -

There’s a somewhat similar thread here with a recent update: https://community.miro.com/ask-the-community-45/pdf-high-quality-not-working-8767

I’d suggest trying it first thing in the morning or at night to see if time of day makes any difference.

You could also selectively (temporarily) remove content from the board to see if there’s a particular object or group of objects affecting the export.

If none of the above reveals anything, open a support request with Miro here: Submit a request – Miro Support & Help Center

It’s a year later and I’m having the exact same issue (using the web version, Safari)

Hi @jackmattson

Thanks for bringing this up! A few things to try:

  • Test exporting from a different browser (Chrome or Edge) to see if it's Safari-specific.
  • Try to export other boards to see if this issue also occurs.
  • Clear your cache and try again.
  • If your board is very large, try exporting a smaller section as a test.

If the issue persists, I’d recommend reaching out to Miro Support with details about your browser, Miro plan, and any error messages. Let us know if you find any workarounds!

Hi @Tim Main and @Yilin2516,

Thanks for reaching out!

Have you tried the following steps I noted above?

  • Try to export other boards to see if this issue also occurs.
  • Clear your cache and try again.

If yes and the issue still persists, please let me know so I can connect you with our Support team.

I had the same problem with MS Edge. Was able to export to pdf using small file but not best quality. Switched to Chrome and it worked fine. Not sure why.

Unable to export high-quality as of yesterday. Had no issues with the same board(s) in previous weeks.

Notice that a blank Miro board has a chrome tab size of nearly 1GB

I was having the same issue. I cleared my cache and opened my board in an incognito window in Chrome. I still had the issue, but noticed that pop-ups were being blocked - maybe a different process to export the best quality? In any case, I allowed pop-ups and the problem was resolved.

I’m using Edge and had the same issue. Can confirm that I allowed pop-ups and was able to download high res PDF.
