New Miro user.

If I create a bunch of stickies to outline a process, and then re-arrange them into the order they are in the process, how do I export that based in the order?

Example:

I create 4 post it notes

  • Put bread in toaster
  • Get toaster out of cupboard
  • Set the setting dial to 4
  • Open the bread bag

I re-arrange them to their correct order

  • Open the bread bag
  • Get toaster out of cupboard
  • Put bread in toaster
  • Set the setting dial to 4

I now want to export the stickies in the order I put them on the page. Right now, when I export, it exports on the order from which I created the stickies (the first steps above)

@Stacy L. Carlson -

As far as I know, the spatial order of objects is not taken into account in exports. Left to right might be the order for one person whereas right to left might be the right way of ordering for someone else.

My guess is that Miro just has a unique ID for each created object and is sorting the export based on that.

The Workaround @Stacy L. Carlson is to add a Sticky Tag Number that increments +1 as you step through your workflow.  Once in Excel you can Sort the Number Tag.
