19 licenses (18 active) auto-converted to paid Starter after trial, need help

I’ve been using Miro since 2018 and have recommended it to many colleagues and friends, so I’m really sorry to be posting here. I started a 14-day Business trial and downgraded before it ended, expecting to return to the free plan. Instead, the “Downgrade Scheduled” email said my team would move to a paid Starter plan (yearly). I didn’t intend to keep a paid subscription and didn’t understand this outcome when I made the change. I know I should have checked more carefully, but I’m hoping for some help.

Our team has 19 licenses (18 allocated). Only 5 members have logged in this year, and even those 5 mostly view boards rather than create content. The rest have not logged in at all this year and no longer need access. The invoice due November 11, 2026 has not been paid, and we have not used any of the included AI credits.

Since this charge came from an unintended plan change and nothing has been paid or used yet, could the issued invoice be cancelled? If that isn’t possible, could we reduce the team size to match how the team actually uses Miro and pay for just one month, instead of the full year? I’d also like to know whether a monthly plan is possible going forward. Thank you so much for your help.

Hi @Yelim Kim

Thanks for reaching out! I’ve converted your case to a Support ticket, and the team will follow up with you there.

Please note that the team is currently handling a high volume of tickets, so the response may take a little longer than usual. Thanks for your patience!
