Add separate pages/new pages/unique pages (coming from AWW App)

Thank you for replying but it doesn’t solve the issues that I have. It’s very sad. AWWAPP is such a fantastic site but some of the best features are not incorporated in Miro’s interface. Sad day :(

Many users are currently coming from https://awwapp.com/ which had something quite similar to miro but with one huge advantage: pages. 

Miro has one infinite board which is useful. In awwapp one board could have many pages each page was itself an infinite board. Annotations would be unique to that page. Frames just aren’t as good as pages for those of us who are used to awwapp and even an automatic grouping of frames would be more limited solution than a seperate page option. 

@miro: I know that miro works with frames but as an additon to have more options for an other structure  it would be great  and offers more creativity

Completely disagree:

You can’t compete pages vs. frames. That’s to short.

I came from two applications: PowerPoint and iMindMap.

You can create animated slides if you put the frames far enogh from another or closer together.

I’m doing this often to give my classes and lessons more pacing when it comes to other content.

and you can make the audience follow exact where they have to look:

Once you used frames and you are familiar with this you won’t give it away … there is so much possible with frames

Here it’s like a film where you can zoom into a detail of your board an put the eye of the audience exact where they should look into but they never loose the whole picture.

Michael, we are not trying to take frames away from you but many people are pointing out the disadvantages of not having pages. You can keep your frames for your single board but we want multiple boards seperated onto pages. “Once you used frames and you are familiar with this you won’t give it away … there is so much possible with frames”. As I say I am not advocating for taking a feature away but adding pages. For those of us who had pages frames are not an equal replacement. 

Also, whille some of those features are “neat” they are completely tangential to our problem of not having seperated pages.

I have worked so many times - splitted documents for my audience that I’m used to do this.

After I have looked into the detail how a document gets automaticly divided in pages I saw the advantage of it although for me it is a disadvantage that I cannot choose wich pages of my PDF-files make it into extra sites.

Mostly I do not need every page of a document. So here would be a combination of both worlds the best answer.

The auto-splitting is helpful as you say. You can keep doing what you are doing. You are not offering a “best of both worlds” by denying new pages. Your solution adds to what you need but continues to frustrate those of us who just want the simple feature of new pages.

Please upgrade the Miro platform to offer separate individual pages like the AWW app! This was the BEST feature of this platform! Makes it so much easier to upload a series of slides and work on them in an interactive way during teaching where each slide is on its own page.

I also need to be able to add new pages within Miro whiteboards, as a former user of AWW. I am an online tutor. With my private clients, I can assign each client their own whiteboard and then we can add a new page for each session. Right now, we can only move to a different part of the same infinite board and it’s simply messy.

I also offer drop-in online office hours sessions and right now have to put all the work for all the students on the same board instead of being able to work with each student on their own page within the whiteboard for the session.

I’ve been trying this for a couple of months, and I’m glad it’s a free trial as an AWW member. I will finish out this school year on the Miro platform and then find another for next year if this feature can’t be added.

I come from AWWapp, too. But as long as miro doesn’t support multiple pages I’ll search for something else.

For me it looks like a very simple but strong feature. I don’t know why it should not be supported.

I just compared the votes for this idea and other ideas.

Only 6 votes while other ideas have 400.

Folks, it seems that you don’t know what you are missing.

awwapp was the best app for teachers/tutors ever created for numerous reasons. Period. Too bad its gone.

Lessonspace is working well for me; I do contract tutoring for a national company in addition to my private tutoring, and they switched over in December.
