Deleted users are using their company email for their personal Miro account.

Miro seems to maintain all our old employees and associates accounts on their system even though we delete them from our company account. This is an issue for security and clarity in offboarding people. If they used their email and a password to access their account, rather than single sign in/OAuth using Google, they would still have access and not be locked out. I understand that this is not the case on the enterprise plan but in my opinion should be a feature on the basic plan too.

Was it helpful?

Hi @Marleen Kinder,

Thanks so much for raising this.

When a user is removed from a Miro team or organization, their Miro profile still exists, and if they created a personal Miro account using their company email (with a password, not SSO), they may still be able to log in — but only to boards/workspaces they personally created or were added to elsewhere.

Enterprise plans offer more advanced user and identity management features (like enforced SSO and domain control) that help address exactly this concern. On the Free and other paid plans, this is more limited.

If you'd like to see this kind of feature added to lower-tier plans, please feel free to add your idea to our Wish List post here — this helps our product team prioritize feature requests based on interest from the community.
