It would be great if users could enable or disable the new rounded elbows. I was using Miro to create a sort of genealogical tree of falcons, and it looks rather messy with the rounded elbows. I do see how it makes other things look much better though!

Below: a bit of a messy looking tree:

I totally agree! The rounded elbows are very nice in some instances, but totally ruin the effect of a tree like this one.

100% agree with this. At the very least I’d like to be able to turn them on or off. Ideally I’d like to be able to control the rounding radius too.

Also, it’s ironic that the symbol for the bended line type still shows the elbows as right angles, not rounded!

I created my first genealogy board on December 4 2021 but I don’t remember ever running into this issue. I know for a fact that it wasn’t a problem in April and June of this year because I have screen shots saved from then.

All my trees are made from Cards+Shapes connected with the regular “connection lines” or as MindMaps. The elbows in the connectors are sharp.

What kind of objects and connectors are you using?

They changed the way connection lines work (https://community.miro.com/ideas/connection-lines-with-rounded-elbows-6116?postid=5292#post5292) and from what I understand, there isn’t a way to change it back to how it used to be. But I hope there will be soon!

@Molly Astell I agree. I think the most straightforward approach would be to add another line type (making it four in total): straight, orthogonal with sharp elbows, orthogonal with rounded elbows, curved.
