When I embed a PDF File and click the Pin Icon, the set current page to current is shown disabled...

Can not set a default displayed page of a PDF

I believe that is by design. When you have navigated to a specific PDF page which you want as the start and then click the Pin icon, after you first click on the Set current as start option it will grey out to indicate that you have made that setting. If you then navigate to a different page and click on the Pin icon again, the Set current as start option will again be available.
