Cursors not showing on my boards

Hello,
Despite having “show collaborators’ cursors” enabled in my board preferences and “show cursors” enabled as well, I can’t see the cursors.
But my collaborators can acutally see mine and others cursors as well on my own board.

If I open my board in a private tab (I’m using Chrome) cursors are showing on my own board.

If I go on my collaborators’ board I can see their cursors.

The problem is only affecting my boards and my own vision but I can’t find anything beside the two options I already enabled.

Anyone as the answer for this ? :(
Thank you.

Hi @LenaClp,

Thanks for testing those steps! Since the issue seems specific to two of your boards, here are a few more things you can try:

  • Toggle cursor settings again – Even though "Show collaborators' cursors" is enabled, try disabling and re-enabling it on the affected boards.
  • Check board permissions – Are there any differences in settings or access levels compared to the board where cursors are visible?
  • Try logging in from another device or browser profile – Since your friend can see cursors on your computer, it might help to check if the issue persists when you log in from a different device or a new browser profile.
  • Duplicate an affected board – If you make a copy of one of the affected boards, does the issue still occur on the duplicate? If the duplicate works, it could indicate an issue in the original board.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, I’d recommend reaching out to Miro Support with details about the affected boards so they can investigate further.

Let me know how it goes! 😊

Hi @LenaClp,

Thanks for reaching out! I can imagine how frustrating this must be, especially since you’ve already double-checked the settings. Let’s try narrowing this down further:

  • Since opening your board in a private tab works, have you tried clearing your browser cache or disabling any extensions that might be interfering?

  • Are you using multiple Miro profiles by any chance? If so, could you check whether the issue persists across all profiles?

  • Does this happen across different devices or only on one specific computer?

  • Is this happening on other boards as well, or only on specific ones?

Let me know what you find, and we can dig deeper if needed! 😊

Hi @Eca thanks for your quick response !

  • I just tried to cleared the browser cache and disabling all my xtensions yet nothing has changed
  • My friend is using his account on my computer to help me check and he can see the cursors.
  • I have not tried another computer, just my phone where I don’t see the cursors as well but I’m not sure it’s a feature on the phone app anyway
  • I have 3 boards, and it seems that two of my boards have this problem, but one don’t !

Seems like the problem comes from the 2 boards themselves 😕
