Newbie: Why don't Miro care about backups?

HI,

I’m a relative newbie to Miro, looking to drive its usage within my SME (130 people). One non-negotiable is the ability to backup/download all of our content so I can use it in the event Miro gets hacked, closes suddenly etc.

I see lots of people asking this but no one seems to care. Why not? What am I missing?

Thanks!

Hi @jobo47,

As a paid user, you can download a backup of your board by following these steps: How to save a board backup.

However, if you're looking to back up multiple boards at once, Miro doesn’t currently offer this feature. That said, we recognize the importance of bulk exports, and this feature is already in our backlog!

We truly appreciate your feedback, and we’ll be sure to update our users as soon as this functionality becomes available. Stay tuned! 🚀

Thanks @Eca that’s helpful and I’m pleased to see that bulk exports are on the backlog but this seems to have been a much requested feature for a long time. Is there any reason to believe they will be coming along soon?

I fear that without that, we will lose access to Miro as all of the cool features like tables are leading us to using Miro as a proper enterprise tool and a single source of truth, but we can’t risk losing our data without the ability to automate backups of all of our team’s spaces on a regular basis.

Hi @jobo47,

While I don’t have a specific timeline to share, I can confirm that the team is aware of the demand for bulk exports, and it remains on the product backlog.

Your feedback reinforces how valuable this feature would be for teams like yours, and I’ll make sure to pass it along. If there are any updates on this, we’ll be sure to share them with the community!

Thanks for your patience and for sharing your thoughts!
