You can now use Unified Modeling Language (UML) shapes to model and design software with ease and collaborate across teams, all on Miro. 

Use a consistent set of shapes to visualize processes, development, and behaviors. Simply drag and drop to start building. Miro’s UML shape pack is helpful for:

  • Collaborating in Agile development environments

  • Supporting a variety of structural and behavioral diagrams

Hey. Do you have any plans to support real sequence diagrams? Currently it’s a real pain to draw sequence diagrams using Miro.

 

 

hi, thanks for this! been waiting on it to stop using lucidchart. hopefully you can keep expanding on the shapes to cover more of uml.

the only pain point for me is some shapes are too big! right now a deployment diagram with nested nodes takes up a lot of space unless you bump everything’s font size to ~36, at which point the board becomes unusable at 100% zoom

edit: i’m also noticing that some shapes like the component would be easier to work with if the padding was done away with or at least reduced

@Turner Pijpers Alexander Ravikovich is referring to the UML standard for sequence diagrams, seen here: https://www.uml-diagrams.org/sequence-diagrams.html

While it’s a relatively simple standard to put together for oneself, it would be great to have built-in Miro support as this is one of the most common diagram types in software design.

About this feature I think what others in the thread are asking for and I know I would really appreciate is the capability to create a UML sequence diagram directly from text.  Is something supported by lucidchart but the best example out there for me is https://sequencediagram.org/

The purpose is not to build the most beautiful UML diagram, but to build it declaratively.  That is a huge improvement to generate sequence diagrams.
