Hi,
not sure if this is the right place for this but anyway … I really love that feature of using Asana cards in Miro. It helps to organize and distribute work on another level which is great. But right now this feature is not really usable for me and my organization.
The reason is simply the available filter option while adding cards from asana. We have a lot (really a lot) of projects and tags in asana. Searching through them using the provided filters makes it impossible to find the tasks i’m looking for and sometimes takes me several minutes.
Something like a plain text search field or at least an alphabetical order of projects and/or tags would be nice. Maybe you are already thinking about improving the asana integration?!
Cheers!
Marcel
Great feedback @Marcel! Very insightful
My colleagues will get back to you soon to ask for more details
Hi @Marina I am trying to use the Asana integration with Miro as it would be really valuable for our team. I have installed the app, but once I’m in the board and click the Asana option in the menu I can’t add any content. The window that open is blank and doesn’t allow me to move forward osee pic attached].
Ill really appreciate if you can help me with this issue, Regards, Gabriela
Hi @Gabriela Masfarré Pintó,
This is a real support case, so could you please reach out to the Support Team at support@miro.com?
Hi @Marina ,
Can the Asana cards integration with Miro be used onto a Miro Brainstorm framework, to produce the individual idea color post-its, or is it just limited to “separate widgets or to adding them to Kanban and User Story Map frameworks by dragging” ?
Thanks,
Amy

What happened to this question?
Hi,
This integration is very nice. One question:
I imported all the cards from an Asana project into a Miro board.
If I come back later to the board, is there a way for me to import only new cards that got created in Asana since the first import?
Thank you
This integration is the reason why I upgraded to a paid plan and considered moving away from lucidchart.
Problem is it is not done in a very usable way. As @Marcel mentions 2 years ago, if you have a busy asana with lots of project and task it is super easy to add tasks.
A super simple idea would be to use the link of the task. You copy the link from asana and paste it on miro. Miro then converts it to a card.
I also cannot change anything on the task, so it is a read only integration. Would be nice to be able to update due dates, asssignee, etc.
TLDR;
Miro! - Do you want to explode your value to the commercial Asana community, sell boat loads of extra seat licenses and become the “Hero of the Internet”? Read on!
What you need to do - Add one or more of these basic pieces of extra functionality below to take things to the next level for commercial Asana users.
Why? Commercial users will give you those sweet extra seat licenses. Think about those sweet rewards, and the prestige... “Hero of the Internet”.
My promise? I’ll write a blog post and froth like a mad dog about this capability on social media, the Asana community board, i’ll make a website (herooftheinternet.com is warmed up), TV, movie promo cameos, anywhere, if you bless the Asana community (and really, the Miro community) with this basic functional addition.
THE LONG VERSION;
Like the other posts, Asana Cards is an incredible feature, and based off this my company would be looking to virtualise and simplify our client management through an abstracted Miro dashboard.
BUT
This feature practically works if you only have a handful of projects in Asana. We have 400+ projects in Asana, so finding the issue takes a couple of minutes of hunting line-by-line for the project we are looking for.
One or more of the following three TINY changes would potentially make a huge difference in manageability here. And potentially make you the Hero of the Internet (for me and Asana users anyway).
SOLUTION REQUEST #1 - Remember the Asana project selected per Miro board.
AS-IS The feature seems to use a global setting. So, every time I need to add tasks for a Miro board I need to hunt down the project from a very long unordered lists which could take a couple of minutes.
TO-BE If you could just make the Last Selected Project sticky for the project. It would mean a couple of minutes to set the board up with the link, but then adding and synching tasks after that - we are gold.
IMPACT Set and forget per board. Significant time saving to add new and keep tasks current.
SOLUTION REQUEST #2 - Order Projects Alphabetically.
AS-IS I can’t actually tell how the project list is ordered. It seems strange that appears to be completely ad-hoc. This is a profoundly painful tasks to identify a project name from an unordered list of 400 projects.
TO-BE Order project names alphabetically.
IMPACT Considerable time saving selecting a project, as above.
SOLUTION REQUEST #3 - Text Input Filter
AS-IS No project filter. Again, difficult to find projects.
TO-BE A simple text input to filter projects by a partial text match to the project name.
IMPACT Smarter ability to find projects that may not start with the name you are looking for, but contains is. Searching for “Accor” in “Internal Accor Project”
BOTTOM LINE
If this was open source, I’d pay to get this made because of how much of a benefit these TINY features would have.
Miro, the choice is clear, the benefits bountiful.
The one question isn’t if, but when, you will to save the day and become who you were meant to be by implementing these features:
And become the Hero of the Internet (dot com).
Forever yours,
Greg

Unfortunately i forgot my experience a year ago and subscribed again jst to find out that i need to go through a massive process and not just paste the task link.
