In this challenge, youāll create frameworks utilizing one of the four Intelligent Widgets below to make common tasks easier.Ā

ā¹ļø What are Intelligent Widgets?Ā
Intelligent Widgets add new functionality to your Miro canvas to make meetings more efficient and automate repetitive tasks. There are four widgets available:
People: easily assign a task or add a team member to an object on your Miro canvas
Dot Voting: the ability to drag and drop dots makes the voting process faster and more efficient
Story Points: enable team members to easily vote on story points for each task or projectĀ
Polling: embed survey questions directly onto your boards

One winner will be selected in each of the following categories:
Community Choice: decided based on the number of likes and copies the template receives in Miroverse
Miro Team Choice: decided by a panel of Mironeer judges based on relevance, layout and design, and ease of use.Ā

Past and Future: How Intelligent Canvas is Transforming Workshops
In early 2024, I facilitated a workshop using the traditional dot voting approach with which we were familiar. However, like any manual interaction, we faced some challenges: the dots ended up scattering, as some participants accidentally clicked and dragged the markers. This experience led me to look for more effective solutions.
Now, weāre in the future with Intelligent Canvas! Interaction is much more fluid and precise with automated dot voting widgets and people widgets. My new template incorporates these innovative tools, making it even easier to visualize and collect feedback in real-time.
The future of innovation is at Miro, where continuous improvement is a reality - and I can prove it with this success story. Thank you to Miro, the engineers, and the team for making this possible.Ā

Interactive Tools - Lean Coffee: 2X the Discussion in Ā½Ā the Time...Ā This is a custom template for discussion exploration, idea sharing, and or issue solution seeking. This template uses interactive toolsĀ of People, Story Points, and Polling to enhance an agenda towardĀ participation capturing, discussion vetting, & feedback of the session.
I have published a template about Story Points, it is a workshop we did with my Scrum team about the adoption of Story Points as an estimation method. If you are part of a Scrum team that already uses them or you are thinking about adopting this estimation method I recommend you to take a look at it because it can save you many hours of waste. Oh and of course you use the Story Points smart widget and you would use the Poll widget but this widget @MiroĀ should improve it, so I didn't implement it.
Did you know you can use the People widget in the Organization Chart function? Yes, it is available in my One Page Diagnostic! This functionality lets you visually organize teams and stakeholders directly in the diagnosis, making the process more intuitive and collaborative. Bonus: In addition, if you want to simplify the risk analysis, I created a specific prompt that can be accessed in the tutorial. It helps to summarize the main risks practically and objectively, facilitating decision-making.

Here is my submission, better late than never! Iām using the people widget to track draft picks in a Fantasy Draft for CBSās Survivor. This board is set up for Season 47 but could easily be modified for other seasons.Ā Iām also using the dot voting widget as a way to track votes in the season, though really that would be just about as effective with just a regular āshape.ā
