Starter plan for a solo educator

Hello!
I’m a private Korean language teacher and I use Miro to create interactive lessons for my students.

I’m the only person who needs a paid license. My students only need access to individual boards as visitors/guests.

I would really like to upgrade to the Starter plan, but the checkout requires me to purchase a minimum of two licenses. Since I work independently, the second license would remain completely unused, which makes the subscription quite expensive for my use case.

Is there any possibility to purchase a single Starter license, or is there a discount/special offer available for individual educators or solo users?

Thank you!

HI @stacyfrol1316, Thanks for sharing your use case. I understand that purchasing a second license when you’re the only person who needs one may not be ideal.

If you’re affiliated with an educational institution, you may be eligible to apply for Miro’s Education plan. You can apply through the Education application form. You’ll need to provide proof of your employment status, such as a school ID or a webpage from your school’s website showing your position.

An educational email address ending in *.edu, *.k12, or belonging to the domain of your public educational institution is also required. If you don’t have one, you can provide other proof of your affiliation with an educational institution.

Please note that it can take up to 10 days to receive a response to your application.

I hope this gives you an option that better fits your teaching setup!

Hi Eca, thank you for your reply!
I’m a self-employed private tutor and I don’t work for a school or educational institution. I teach students independently and use Miro specifically for my online lessons.
I have my own professional website and a verified tutor profile on Profi.ru that confirm my teaching activity. Would these be accepted as proof for the Education plan?
If not, is there any other plan or option available for an individual educator who only needs one license?
