Hi everybody 👋
Hope 2026 is off to a great start!
Very excited to share some big news from us here at AppFox.
We built Workflows for Miro (our workflows app) back in 2024, to bolster a platform we love to use with a couple of features to make our lives easier, and as of 2026…
It’s completely free for all Miro users!
No trials or feature limits - we’re hoping, just simple approval automations and reporting that work intuitively for you inside Miro.

Why we built an approvals workflow app
Like many people here, as a team of predominantly remote workers, we use Miro for:
-
Workshops & retros
-
Product discovery
-
Planning sessions
-
Async collaboration
We kept running into this gap between “we’ve mapped everything out beautifully…” and “…now what?”
Sticky notes, frames, and diagrams help us immensely with planning and presentation.
However, as a knee-jerk reaction, we found ourselves relying on scattered processes across external tools like email, Slack and Teams when it came to turning all that planning into repeatable, traceable and peer-reviewed work.
Essentially, transforming all that ideation into something structured, standardized and quality assured that still lives inside Miro.
What Workflows for Miro does
Workflows for Miro helps to simplify the process of structuring, repeating, and automating common ways of tracking and approving work directly inside boards (or frames!).
With the app, we want to give users the power to:
-
Immediately level up your board setup with reusable approval and progress tracking workflows
-
Guide teammates and stakeholders through your progress, your pipeline and your thought process
-
Keep different teammates in the loop with no added effort, using at-a-glance project status app cards
-
Track feedback and sign-off on your work directly within Miro, with automated approval requests and comment logs
-
Reduce setup time for workshops, planning, or reviews
We like to think of it as a lightweight layer of structure on top of your Miro boards and frames that moves ideas into confident execution, without losing any of the flexibility that we love in Miro.

Why we made it free
We’re relatively new here, and we know that trust is earned!
Making the app free for everyone means:
-
You can try out everything it has to offer with no limits
-
Teams of any size can get stuck in
-
Educators, facilitators, and indie teams aren’t locked out
-
We can learn directly from you guys, the real Miro users
Basically, our goal is to build this with the community, not just for it.
Even if you find you’re solving this pain point already somewhere else in Miro, we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Getting started
If that sounds interesting to you, you can install Workflows for Miro from the Miro Marketplace and start using it straight away!
Alternatively, get a quick overview via this brilliant video recorded by
And if you do try it out, we’d love for you to comment here or reach out to us and:
-
Let us know what works
-
Tell us what’s missing
-
Share how you’re using it on your boards
-
Fill us in on any other methods you’re already using to overcome this friction
We’re here to listen, learn, and improve!
Thank you very much for having us! We can’t wait to hear what you think.
