What do you wish you could do with Miro? Add your dream features and support other ideas by upvoting them.
This wish comes from the feature of AWW - that automaticly sites are generated when it comes to the fact that a document is placed onto a board. https://community.miro.com/ask-the-community-45/is-there-a-way-to-make-a-new-page-within-boards-3795?postid=16405#post16405 When we place a document onto the board we drag it onto the board, but to structure it we have to set a frame around every site we like to have.I like to have an automated solution for this, like the graphic shows:This would be a timesaver - so please add it!And it would be great if you vote for it Michael
I really like the feature that you can just drop a URL on a board and Miro creates ‘something’ from it automatically. This feature would even be better when a hyperlink is added automatically to this ‘something’ enabling users to just hit the hyperlink to move towards de URL / Page.Keep up the good work!
Hey Miro-team and community! With lockdown shutting down our physical DnD games in the office, we began looking for an alternative. As we already used Miro for our professional work, we quickly began considering it for playing DnD, as a virtual tabletop alternative. Miro works suprisingly well out of the box if combined with a voice chat like Zoom. By uploading battlemaps and tokens from Gameicons.net, players can simulate a board and easily drag and create their own notes (inventory, lore). The Dungeon master (me in this case) can use a player board miro and a DM Miro to easily organise his session notes overlaid on a map, track progress and make changes on the fly. There are a few features, while fairly simple to implement, which could radically improve Miro as a virtual tabletop tool. My main request would be a way to fully hide the GUI while still being able to edit everything on the board (for players), and a dice rolling feature allowing us to stay in Miro to roll various dice.I would love to hear if there is any support from fellow GM's and players on here. Let's make MiroDnD a thing!Regards,-Vincent
It is kind of old fashioned to back-up the boards manually. It would be a nice feature with automatic back-up, so if anything goes wrong, you could go back to a earlier version in the program. Or is this already a feature?
I use Miro as notepad to my classes, I have a draw table and I found Miro like the perfect tool to take notes and share with mates if I needed. But I want to search inside my notes, find in my hand writing notes like Microsoft OneNote.
Hi,I’d love for the shapes and stickies to use the same colour palette tool and options so that I can ‘align’ them when I’m using them together for creating legends or other situations when the two are mixing.Cheers,Wiktor
Dear Miro Team,As we are a research group, we would love to use the following template: https://elephantinthelab.org/meet-the-research-impact-canvas-a-structured-guide-for-planning-your-science-communication-activities/It is licensed under Creative Commons, so adding it to Miro should be allowed :-)Best regards,Andreas
Would it be possible to have a function where you can upload your own background image when on video chat as per TEAMS?
Being able to add borders extends the “colors” of cards, doubling the amount of visual differences in cards. in Mural I use borders all the time to call out cards in significant ways without having to find a new color or treatment
This week I ran a very small workshop for just 5 guests - and of 5 people we ended up with two Guest Inventors. I can understand repetition for a very big group, but when numbers are so small this is problematic. Has anyone else experienced this? If it isn’t possible to give a different name, could we have a different Icon - at least use another colour so that it would be possible to distinguish between them. Better still, either let the guest choose a pseudonym (if they can’t use their real name as they aren’t registering for an account) or allow the board owner to change guests names.
I have a use case where I have an icebreaker that uses one set of tags and the main workshop area uses another set of tags. I do not want both sets of tags to be available for both the icebreaker and the workshop because they are set in advance and should not be appended. For example, I have a set of Superpower tags in the Icebreaker (e.g. invisibility, flight, etc.) and I have a set of business-related tags in my workshop (e.g. Business, Design, Tech, etc.). I don’t need Superpower tags interfering with my business-related tags—too much clutter. The current set-up means that I have to have my icebreaker on a separate board from my workshop, meaning I then have to move lots of people from one link to another, which is less than ideal. The icebreaker is done pre-workshop and goes out in the communications for the workshop to onboard the collaborators. This particular one has a voting feature. I want to view the results in the workshop. If I copy and paste the Icebreaker into the workshop board, the tags are added to the existing workshop tags, which I don’t want. If there were frame-specific tags, I wouldn’t have this issue. There should be an option when adding tags to make them frame-specific with the caveat that you mush create a frame first.
Features like handwriting recognition in text boxes would be useful in the desktop app when being used with writing tablets.
It used to be possible to test a voting setup, but it istn´t anymore. You could save a setup for later, then run it, delete the results but not the saved voting as such. Now, by deleting the results, the whole voting setup is deleted. This is a crucial ptoblem i.m.o.: It makes it impossible to check your setup (E.g. did I define the types to be voted on correctly? Is everything I want to be voted on included, not double, and nothing else?) You have to redo everything from scratch every time. Before, (that is before the problem with voting didn´t start) there were two questions:Delete results delete voting. This worked just fine.I reported this loss as a bug. I got the answer: This is expected behaviour for the tool, it ist not supposed to be possible to restart. And to post the problem here as a wish.If this should be an issue with too many saved votings, it might be mitigated by making the possibility to save the voting an option but not a default.
I spend a huge amount of time locking and unlocking when I want to edit one item deep in the board design. The big problem with capturing lots of elements by dragging with the mouse is that you capture all the sticky notes and other interactive elements which should stay un-locked. So I first need to move them out the way, unlock, edit, re-capture all the elements I want locked, then lock them again. It would be so easy if I could unlock, edit, re-lock the same elements. Other locking nice-to-haves would be“lock everything except stickies”“lock everything but allow text editing inside locked blocks”
Hey Miro,When we do sessions/workshops it is often difficult to keep engaged with the discussion ánd keep track of time. Not really, but it would be really helpful for us facilitators to have a time bar with workshop blocks to see how far along you are. haven't really thought about showing it to participants as well…Thanks,Emile
Perhaps niche but I would like to have the ability to take say a 20 point list and split it into 20 sticky notes, each note containing the text from one bullet point, but also being able to do the opposite taking 20 notes and being able to merge them into a single text container, ideally already formated as a list.
Hey Miro folks, I have a small request (Pun intended). The email I get from Miro when a partner comments has such a large Miro graphic header that I can’t see the comments people made without scrolling down in the email. I get a lot of comments. Could we reduce the brand so we can see the comment? Thanks!
A company level feature called:"Allow external invites"with the options- Yes (all)- No- Yes (for specific teams)Allowing you to expose certain teams to external collaboration without having to open up your entire Company.Currently it’s either Yes/No and then up to team admins to set external sharing on their teams.
User scenario:User creates a shape and labels it “Active” User specifies that when a sticky is pulled onto the shape, the sticky get’s labeled with “Active” A whole world of opportunity opens to the user…Technical details:“Actions” can be registered for an element used to represent a spatial zone Any 2nd element that passes into the space defined by the first is acted upon by the action Actions define an element filter (general widget, card, note, shape, etc.) and an action to be performed upon passing elements (add tag, set assignee, set date, change color, etc.)Example:I create two large rectangles labels “Team 1” and “Team 2” A configure an action for each rectangle: when a JIRA card enters the rectangle, set the scrum team to “Team 1”/”Team 2”Flexibility:Instead of assigning actions to existing widget types (shapes, stickies, etc.), introduce a new widget type: “action zone”. These can be layered on top of other elements to achieve the desired effect.
Thanks for taking the time to make a great product! It’d be amazing to be able to add the Note (of which there is only one) to the actual board in multiples, just like we do with Sticky Notes etc. To be clear I’m talking about the ‘Note’ in the top right. It’d be great to have the full features of this inside multiple notes on the board. If this is possible I couldn’t find it, please let me know!
