Everything You Need to Know About Miro Wish List
The Wish List is where we gather ideas directly from members of the Miro Community to help us make Miro even better. Excited to contribute? Here’s eve...

We’d like to see a feature where we can designate one Company Admin email account within the same SSO email domain as a “break-glass” login account solely used to manage company settings. This account should not be required to login with SSO in cases where there is an issue with the SSO configuration or system. It should only take up a FREE license as it will never be assigned as a Team Admin to manage a team or as a Team member to collaborate on boards.
When an update is available, a dialog pops up, even if Miro isn’t the front window. The very sparse information in the dialog makes it hard to know which app it is that wants to install an update.Simple solution: Add “Miro” to the text in the title bar of this dialog.
I would like to be able to distribute my objects by an exact value eg 100px
Having the ability to lock specific artboard for not letting other editors to change anything that belongs to the project.
It would be extremely useful (worth the cost of a subscription) to have the essential option of viewing events and visits to boards. Not only for safeguarding of work but also as a check that shared information via Miro has actually been looked at and for how long. If you consider a real life team scenario, we know when everyone arrives, contributes, leave. For our own sense of achievement or validation we want our work to be seen. For our own security and accountability we need our work to be seen. Can this option be added? That you! Love this Platform and appreciate the huge effort, skills and ideas that have made it what it already is.
When adding a new sub-node to a node, it woud be nice if the size of the new textbox was related to the other subnodes. This comes up when using a mind map to record notes while listening to a webinar. Since the webinar is live, I sometimes inout too much text int one new node. I will probbaly break it into severl nodes. Since the new textbok is a single line, the screen resolution reduces to a low percentage. I must increse it to se the text and then recenter the map. I’d love it if the new text was smart enough to automatically wrap the text is relation to the size of the other new subnodes.
Storytelling. Help me turn my mindmap into a visual tour, walking through branches and leaves in an order you suggest (defaults are hard!), seniority (oldest nodes first), or user sequenced. Would be great if we had “view” options or scene design templates for each moment in the presentation. An “establishment shot” with a panorama of the whole map. “Flying in” to the home node. A Game of Thrones opening that tours the kingdoms (the first generation child nodes). A tour of sibling nodes or all the children of a particular parent. A node profile card with it’s parentage, kids, notes, and provenance/metadata (by Brian on May 2nd) Closing recaps (walking briskly back through the previous tour) A “credits” card showing the contributors. Your Frames model doesn’t work for this. There are too many nodes and moments, so frames interfere with thinking about the whole and ideation. Save multiple tours of the same board. P.S. Spend an hour on best-of-Prezi demos for a sense of the power of stepping through a visual landscape.
As an educator, I have different content that is all interrelated. I would love to have the content topics all connected through a mind map. When I’m talking about circles, I might also want to talk about triangles, or I might want to talk about periodic functions. So, I would like to connect all these topics together in a mind map. But I also want rich content associated with each node. I would like to be able to double click a node (or choose a menu option) that then displays all the rich content associated with that topic. Also, if this is not possible today with MindMap, how could I go about creating a similar solution with the existing set of tools?
For inclusive facilitation we need accessible functionality for vision impaired participants. This includes but is not limited to: alt tags, high contrast mode, short cut keys and navigation, accessibility tips for board owners and facilitators.
Amongst the many things my team and I do on Miro, we also like to do our respondent interview note-taking there. Now - how do we manage / handle a bajillion post its before we proceed with affinity mapping? I’m thinking - a mechanism that allows users to (1) pick the categories or topics that we’ve identified, and then (2) filter which post it fits to where category + which post its to “throw away” or “keep in the parking lot” for situations where the post its don’t fit into either category. Instead of manually looking at them one by one, and copy-pasting / moving them, we can (perhaps) use smart keys (e.g. 1-2-3-etc. according to the categories that have been identified + 0 to “delete” the post it) to easily categorize which post its goes where. This allows us to sort through and manage a great number of post its in a very efficient manner (which won’t require too much navigating across the board.
Experienced BehaviourIt seems that copy/pasting sticky-notes in a board resets the information of who created the note and who modified it to the user and time doing the copy/paste.How could the behaviour be improvedThe original authorship of an element should be preserved when copy/pasting it on the same board. Why does it matter?I realized this the hard way after suggesting to my collegues to just copy/paste sticky notes on a large board, since dragging them from one place to another was a bit tiresome. When you drag an item you are basically locked out of most of the navigation methods like frames, cursor-navigation and zooming out and in.Original ownership of a sticky not is quite the valuable information, since it can be used to clarify stuff with the original author.
After team members have voted and the host of the board has ended the voting for all, the results of the voting are only displayed in the left voting panel. The voting counts from the sticky notes disappear. Incase a participant misses the pop up window to view the voting results, he/she has no option to view the results. It is really suggested that there be an option available so that the vote counts are visible on sticky notes even when the voting panel is closed. Voting counts must be available and not just restricted to only if the Voting panel is open. But I understand that since we can create multiple voting sessions, the results only one must can be shown. Here is what I suggest in this case :Votes for different voting session can be displayed in different colors. Let each voting panel have a checkbox, that lets user decide if they want the counts of this particular voting session to be visible on the board.
It would be nice to be able to go to the Boards of a Team as Company Admin without having to join the team.I think at this moment this is nog possible? Correct me if I am wrong.
I love your wish list and the transparency with the user community. Today there are two status for Wish List (Idea and Delivered). It would be great if there was a third status which indicates that at least part of the solution described has been added to the product backlog in some not-too-specific but relatively short time frame (maybe two quarters). Perhaps a “We heard you” or “We are working on it” status? Not asking to give out trade secrets or tip your hat to the competition. Perhaps you only assign this status to a subset of the features you are actually working on, but it would be great to know if a wish list item is a pipe dream or something that you are hard at work to solve. Keep those features coming - you have a great product!!
We constantly share Miro links in Slack. I find myself often removing the unfurled Miro link because it doesn’t provide value. The Slack unfurling would be a lot more useful if it provided the name and description of the Miro document.
possibly a stretch, but it would be cool if objects/items within Miro could be assigned a behaviour - like MIT’s Scratch. In terms of data and behaviour modelling, this could be fantastic (from my/our perspective, in terms of healthcare/healthcare data, this would be invaluable)
When you get an email with a task, you should be able to send the email to a Kanban Board as a task. An example of a current integration is a plug in from Outlook to Trello. Example
When I shrink the size of the Miro board, the Title/Subject field is prioritized over the Issue Key, which leads to problems - namely, the Subject gets truncated and context is lost. If the Issue key (i.e., CL-4554) were prioritized as you resized the card, it would stay relatively understandable and would be less likely to be truncated.
