    Copy Miro's tables and paste-it to Google SheetsOpen

    HiIt’s possible to copy Google Sheets to Miro’s tables here but it’s impossible to copy Miro’s tables and paste-it to Google Sheets.[Edit] I have just discovered that it is possible to export a Miro’s tables in csv and import it into Google sheets (or another spreadsheet). Slower than copy-paste but it's possible.

    Change the default behaviour of "Select all"Open

    I’m not sure if I’m alone in this, but this scenario happens to me often and it’s driving me nuts! I often double click an item, and press CTRL-A to select all the text inside that item. However, this sometimes selects the entire board and zooms me out, making it difficult for me to get back to where I was. The reason this happens especially on large boards with lots of items. When I double click an item and then I press CTRL-A after that, Miro doesn’t keep up with the speed and therefore zooms out instead. I personally never ever need to select all items on a board and would love to disable that altogether. Does anyone else have this issue?

    Holding Down a Key for to Connect to Multiple ObjectsOpen

    Howdy all. This is a shortcut / feature I picked up in Cycling 74’s Max (shout outs to any Max/MSP users out there). In that software, when you hold down shift, you can connect multiple objects from a single source object by holding down Shift. See the gif below for reference: This would be a mad helpful feature, particularly when dealing with arrays of information.I used Max/MSP back in the day (primarily Max 6 and Max 7) and it does great stuff in terms of object / connection management. It’s been some time since I’ve used it so I can’t name other specifics but this particularly feature, Shift for multi-object connection, has always stuck out.

    Comment reply email notifications - indicate a text of a previous comments (replied to)Open

    Email notifications about new replies in comments show only a text of a newly added comment. It isn’t clear what’s the context. It requires user to click through each such email and drill down the board, its comment, and reply in it ==> time waste.  SUGGESTION:  include a piece of a comment thread into a body of email notifications - so that context of a new reply becomes more clear. Thanks for the great product!

    Mind Maps Tags (something like OneNote's Tag feature would be great)Open

    In OneNote you can add a “tag” to any line to add a small element before the text, like checkboxes, prioriity flags, colours boxes, icons etc. It would be great to be able to categories the items and allow tags to be added to map items, the feature should allow multiple tags to be added. Currently I am added comments and then changing the colour of the comment to have a “basic” tag experience. however it isn’t pretty and clogs up the comments panel.   Example list from OneNoteI’m not suggesting a straight rip of OneNote, but I think a functionality that provides this kind of experience would fit perfectly in a mind map.

    Need users to be able to add to board but only board creator/owner can deleteOpen

    For boards that are used by many groups, I’d like to use a Miro board in which participants can add elements on a board but not delete or edit anyone else’s elements. It should allow people to add their own ideas, and comment on someone else’s (but not edit). When can this feature be available? It’s really needed for large org / group collaboration.How can user’s currently add comment to specific elements. I’d also like the category list below to include a “high priority feature” because there’s a clear difference between a “wish” list and a critical to enterprise usage list. ;)

    User Story Mapping Feature - Collapsible RowsOpen

    It would be a usefull improvement to have the posibility to collapse User Story Mapping Rows.  Regular State  Collapsed State  THE PROBLEMSometimes some columns can become very large, and we cant focus on some row.   THE (POSSIBLE) SOLUTIONAdding a collapsible (or maybe hideable) option could be a nice solution to work on a instance of a Task.

    Little Nudge on using the smart align featureOpen

    A lot of people are still not aware of the smart align feature. To enable better use of this - it would be nice to have a little nudge to use it just like how we have little pop-ups when we are using a template - asking us how our experience has been.

    Mindmap to Roadmap?Open

    Can there be the option to replace the object type in mindmaps? I can see this framework being applicable to project roadmaps and development paths. I know I’m asking a lot, but what’s wishing?Would be awesome to see dependent paths highlighted from the selected card too!  Nice to have start and end dates to reflect duration (attempting to extract a Gantt view from a csv export)  Change view to calendar views (weekly; monthly; quarterly; annually) This is basically trying to integrate the multiple framework views you guys are using with cards, which easily becomes a rabbit hole.

    Expandable Project TrayOpen

    I don’t know if there’s a technical term for this functionality, but an interactive edge or border along Projects that could be dragged to change the tray width would be great, to accommodate for longer project names. I have only tested this absence in the PC Desktop App, don’t know if it’s present on other versions.Thanks much! Miro is the best.

    Pop-Out Tool that when you click a point or icon it will give a Pop-Out where you can write descriptions and add photos.Open

    I posted this on questions, and was suggested to post it here! Basically, I’m creating a fantasy world map in Miro and been wanting a feature that allowed you to click a point/destination and then you could go more in depth with that spot with descriptions, photos, etc. This would be beneficial to many types of projects. It would basically be a more in-depth comment feature that anyone could change and contribute to. It would be game-changing to have such a detailed yet simple feature.

    "Pocket" - A picture in picture mode to easily distribute PostIts from one frame to anotherOpen

    Have you ever had a big pile of sticky notes, you needed to distribute into clusters on a different board? Going back and forth between boards can be very tedious.My suggestion: Allow to put a board into a “pocket”. The “pocket” is a small-ish Area in the lower right corner of the screen, where you can move through the board without moving the main view. From there you can grab all the stickies you want without the need to move the board all the time.Alternative: You get a column on the right, that eats away a bit from the main screen. There you can move the camera autonomously without touching the left side, but you can again move the sticky notes over.Imagine it a bit like iPad Multitasking but with the ability to move items from one app to another.

    I would like to have a quick and easy way to navigate between frames (it consumes too much space)maybe be pointing on a board directly. The Zoom window on the buttom is not an option (too rough).

    Use Tags with "Highlight" functionalityOpen

    There would be a menu item for tags available, and if I would click on the tag “Important”, all objects not tagged with “Important” would be faded out and the tagged objects would be highlighted.This would enable users to visually have an overview of where they still need to contribute, where they can find topics back, ….

    To automatically switch back to pen after erasingOpen

    I’m using an Apple pencil and normally double tap to switch between pen and eraser. It would be helpful when after using the eraser the tool automatically switches back to the pen rather than double tapping the pen again to switch back.

    CNAME DNS record for Domain verificationOpen

    Howdy,Our internal IP Services team doesn’t like TXT records due to how cluttered with SaaS they become. We would prefer if Miro was able to handle domain verification through CNAME records as well as TXT records. We believe it’s cleaner that way and easier to keep track of our SaaS when each service has their own record vs. being just another line in a TXT DNS record.Thanks,Ed

    I noticed Miro just came out with a Zoom integration. I think it looks awesome but my company uses RingCentral instead of Zoom. Would it be possible to develop an integration with RC similar to the one that just came out with Zoom?     Any object/card/sticky that multiplies but uniqueOpen

    There needs to be a 'copy' maintaining a unique single source of truth. As in I make a card/sticky/whatever but if I copy it to use in a different form/template, the properties should be the same in each copy. So if I change one, the other is updated. Otherwise, you end up with so much maintenance.

    Miro Screen SaverOpen

    The Context:An important part of our job as a corporate industrial designer is sharing with the rest of the company what we are working on. Often when leadership or engineering or marketing etc just walks through our ID space they see printed out sketches, charts, research, etc. When other groups within the company see our work it prompts conversations and opens more opportunities for our ID team to be utilized for projects in the future. The Problem:Since working in Miro less of our work is posted up in our physical design space so less organic opportunities are happening. As we are beginning to return to work (covid) this will become more important. The Wish:It would be great to have a mode that would showcase recent Miro work for a physical space without having to do a ton of redundant prep work (i.e. printing off miro content). It could be a “screen saver” mode that panned around the screen over our recent content & maybe had a title for what board and a sub-title for what frame it was hovering over. We could then have an up-to-date live feed of our work being presented on a TV in the ID space without having to do a ton of prep work. This could spark more organic opportunities for us once again.

    Supporting hybrid workshops with a simplified phone-appOpen

    When hosting an hybrid event, some people are at home behind their desktop en a few people are in a workshop-room, with a big screen probably touchscreen, several camera's, a way to increase the interaction and participation of the people in the workshop-room would be to have a simple phone app with which they can add sticky notes to the bord, participate in voting and probably do other cool stuff, without staring at the big screen all the time and watch one person use the touchscreen. I would love to see such an app!

    Auto-select sticky contentOpen

    I find myself frequently copying existing sticky notes on the screen, partly because I don’t know of a hotkey to add one. But either way, I could see myself copying a sticky note to generate a new one. I’m doing this while moderating interviews with participants, and I need to move quickly to capture notes. I keep accidentally hitting cmd a before the sticky has been selected because there’s a lag. I’m trying to select all the content so that I can type in new content. For some reason, cmd a keeps zooming me out to 100%, and then I lose focus, and because my board is very busy it takes forever to reload and get back to where I am, all while I’m screensharing with a participant. It’s extremely disruptive.  It takes 3 clicks to select all the text without using a cmd+a, plus, I’m already in the habit. I know that cmd+1 already zooms to 100% of the board. I wish you would remove the zoom to 100% from the cmd+a. At the very least, if you pre-selected all the text within the sticky so I can delete it, or start typing, I wouldn’t need to type cmd+a. Really, I think you should do both. The cmd+a zooming out, feels like a bug, since there’s another hot key that does that already, and that is usually the command to select all text. The sticky text auto selection upon double-clicking seems like a great feature to add.
