What do you wish you could do with Miro? Add your dream features and support other ideas by upvoting them.
As I work on different collaboration projects with my students, it would be great to have a vote function for uploaded files, too (not only for sticky notes, text, shapes, images and cards).
Spinning this idea out from this post into its own post here. Our organization has been having a consistent issue with tags being accidentally edited or deleted. When this occurs, the tag is edited/deleted from all cards that were using it and it’s been apparently very difficult or even impossible to find these deletions in the activity log and revert them. Please at least add some sort of popup warning for the user that they are about to edit or delete the tag when what they intended to do was just remove the tag from a card (the existing warning after the action has occurred is easily missed).
The handwriting fonts for sticky notes in 2-byte East-Asia font set works pretty nicely in Mac, but not in Windows (nor iPadOS). Anticipating that is because WindowsOS does not have fancy handwriting Japanese fonts pre-installed, but it will be fantastic if we can substitute it by some online font like Yomogi (https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Yomogi?subset=japanese) or Zen Kurenaido (https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Zen+Kurenaido?subset=japanese) for instance.Since Miro is perfect to start drafting something in my mind, this handwriting font is almost indispensable in my workstyle.Your kind consideration is much appreciated!--Branched off from the thread here:https://community.miro.com/ask-the-community-45/known-bug-sticky-note-does-not-reflect-the-entered-2-byte-characters-on-ipad-7648?postid=32407#post32407
The mind map has the best functionality for auto-adding boxes. The flowchart has the best formatting capabilities in terms of shapes and text font/size control. It would be great to be able to have box shapes around mind map text (not just filling it with color, I mean a box frame). Other items could easily be added after, such as different types of shapes and text font/size control. But that first rectangle shape would be a great addition.ORAdd mind-map style ‘align child nodes’ to flowcharts and being able to add boxes in only 1 direction (they currently switch right, left, right, left, etc.). That would give the exact functionality I’m looking for.
I am trying to use Miro as an Obeya room which consolidates documents describing strategy, goals, KPIs, and other dashboards into a single place. At this time, all of the supporting documents originate as google docs, sheets, or slides. Unfortunately, the are a number of problems with this integration: Miro only likes to present the first page of the source google document, as described by the normal print settings. This means that either the documents must be limited to one page or they must be “exploded”. If the document is “exploded” then it is no longer possible to synchronize the document with any updates from google. If the document is not exploded, then only the first page survives a refresh. The refresh must be done manually. If there are many documents imported to the Miro site then the update process is too cumbersome to be useful. What is needed is: The ability to regularly update google content - once per day would be sufficient but more frequently would be better. The ability to select and display a specific slide within a google slide document based on the URL, not slide number when printed. The ability to select a specific tab within a google sheet document, or better yet a range.
The workaround is to create an object, size the object to match the image, scale the shape up slightly, add a stroke then group. Adding stroke to an image directly would eliminate all these steps. Thanks kindly!
Currently board backups are limited to 1 GB but there’s no way to know if a board is too large to back up until you try and nothing happens. Therefore, the only solution is to go back and move or delete existing content (inefficient). The size of the board should show up in “board details” so teams can monitor the size of their boards and create new ones when they are reaching the size limit. At the very least, something should pop up telling you the board was too large to download a backup so you aren’t left scratching your head. This size limit is also not mentioned within the backup options - I only learned about it through customer support.
Jira Card map sprint to Kanban BoardWe are using Jira cards to map them to a kanban board set up with different sprint names. If we can drag the card into kanban board and it auto mapped it to that in the sprint, that would be a perfect integration. Or a smart way to map jira cards to Sprints drag and drop directly.
The idea:One click button to toggle colour on a new type of rectangle shape The Problem:Simple Routine tasks require three clicks and mouse navigation to change colour from red to green (or back to red). Example:See pasted image. The slip symbol would appear next to the task rectangle to flip from red to green. The people buttons to filter by is an optional extra - please just do the flip colour button. Benefit:Productivity. There are ideas in this wish list register similar and a product is not readily available in the market that I can find. Application:Office teams, Finance, Project, Manufacturing, Logistics, Transport, Rostering, any process. Collaboration & Permission: Miro can dot this and acknowledge TXM or myself as the originator of the idea. Others are welcome to contact me to develop this idea which could plugin to Teams and similar at www.txm.com Keywords:Tee-Cards, Kamishibai, Red-Green , Routine Tasks, Teamwork
I use task-oriented flow charts for training and also to ensure people don’t miss steps in complex tasks. I was wondering if it would be possible to add an interactive checkbox to items in a flow chart and even better if after ticking it, the color of the flowchart item (circle, square shape, etc...) changed color? I’d like to be able to duplicate a flowchart I have created for an individual who is training where they can use this specific chart to walk through a task step-by-step and tick off tasks as they go so they can easily track their progress and find where they left off if they need to pause and come back later. Feature request please!:)
I am using the "notes" function to make presentations, because it is very helpful that I can integrate notes. I usually create A3 frames for every slide, and I drag and drop them on the notes section. When I am trying to export a PDF, I see that multiple slides are exported as one PDF page.It would be great to find a way to adjust the settings of exporting so that I get one PDF page for every A3 frame, perhaps by selecting the slides I want to be printed and export them as PDF pages.
Hi,Would it be possible to allow incrementing or decrementing font sizes by smaller increments perhaps while holding down a modifier key?Perhaps holding alt or control while clicking the up or down arrow would increment by 1 (or 5) rather than through the pre-defined (very large) increments?
We save many of the buidling blocks we used for a workshop or a retrospective to a template shared with the team for future use. The hope is to re-use them later to accelerate our meeting preperation. Right now, they all get saved to one place without the possibility to structure it (e.g. via folders or tags). It would be great to have a chance to structure them, otherwise in a year we wont use our custom templates because we can’t find them anymore. possible scenario: I’m looking for a “Check In” building block for a retrospective and am able to filter for alle Check In templates I ever saved. All other templates (e.g. for “Gather Data”, “Decide What to Do”) aren’t visible anymore so my search for the right template is accelerated.
Hi there. As I work hiding isolated objects from canvas I change to presentation mode all the time (because there is no way to edit objects during the presentation mode. It would be very handy to add a shortcut for presentation mode. Can save time when switch back to edit mode instead going and click (specially when you have large ultra wide monitors. Thank you and congrats all the team because Miro is an amazing tool. Regards, Leonardo Bissoli.
It would be great to add a ruler with the functions to measure distances and angles. I teach geometry, and one ruler would be useful and valuable for Miro community.
We are a large company with a number of Teams. We want Company admins to manage new user requests that include allocating a new license for a Member, so have set this on Team settings so that ‘Company admins can invite new users’.However, with this setting, it means Team admins cannot invite already licensed Members to a Team, so this has to be done by Company admins also, creating unnecessary overhead for them. Members can discover and request to join a team, but apparently only Company admins can approve that request also with this setting on. Please allow Team admins to manage the adding and approval of invites to their Team, for already licensed Members.
