Currently, if a YouTube video is shared on a board, if one user plays it it doesn’t play for all users. Sometimes for collaboration or learning sessions, a ‘watch party’ is helpful to help make the video watching process smooth. It would be good if when a video is played, there was an option to ‘watch privately’ or ‘play for all’ so everybody could enjoy the video experience at the same time.
Hi,For artistic perspective, in some of my work I have to create a space between the line and the shape. It makes the drawing fell more relaxed. However, doing that the arrow doesn’t attach to the shape so whenever I move the shape, I have to do the same with the arrow. I know it will create some confusions whether the arrow attached or not.
My request has not appeared in exactly this form, just complaints or gratitude that Guest Editor unlocking has been removed.I’m on a Consultant plan. I frequently collaborate with other consultants and client employees in creating or editing boards, for training, for general operations, all sorts of stuff. There is a use case for eliminating locking from permissions for typical Guest Editors: they can make a mess of things. BUT… There’s also an important use case where you want Guest Editors to be able to [un]lock.Today, I have two major relationships and both of them would benefit from a permission-level allowing a guest to lock/unlock:one with a fellow trainer who has his own Miro Consultant account, but for me to be able to lock stuff in his boards, well, he has to do it or he has to pay for a team membership for me. another where I’m working with a team on a single board, with a couple of those folks already having Miro memberships, and either I have to do the locking of their content, or I have to pay for them.Work-arounds just don’t seem reasonable: either me doing locking under their direction or double-paying Miro for membership fees. This use case is likely common among Consultant-level plans. Can we create a new “Guest Senior Editor” level that has [un]lock capability? The permission drop down can be “Can edit and [un]lock”.
when the board is getting crowded, it can be difficult for users to navigate contents. would be great to have a way to indicate where specific contents are, e.g. anchor feature and to share the anchor with board viewers as a link. so when user clicks the link, they would be directly brought to where the anchor is.
Original in French below because it is my mother language but I will add an English translation above.I’ve already submit this idea to miro (request 167806 ), but I post it here to challenge them. The basic idea is that one shape can influence the properties of another when superimposed on it.Concrete cases:I have a grid representing a 5 sprint planWhen I drop a JIRA card a grid case, the card updates, and it changes sprints value of the card.I have a series of rectangles, one for each user. When I drop a note in a rectangle, the note is assigned to this userI have a series of rectangles for various themesWhen I drop a note in a rectangle, a label is added to it representing the theme.Generic principleTo see it in a very generic way. (I think super large, after maybe a very small part has to be done in MVP) ConsideringC a "container" zone that we will configure M a "mobile" element which will undergo an automatic change P a property of M V a valid value for the property PWe configure C so that according to the type (note, text, shape, cards, ..) of M.If M enters or exits completely from C, the property P of M will be updated to the value VWe can add several rules for CWe can cumulate 3 types of updateempty property P add a V value remove a V valueI believe my idea is very powerful but maybe advanced for the target audience of miro.---- J’écris en français parce que c’est ma langue maternelle mais j’ajouterai un une traduction en anglais.L’idée de base c’est qu’une forme puisse influencer les propriétés d’une autre quand elle y est superposée.
New features and other notifications from the Miro Board team are never read by me as they appear when feeling creative and open Miro Board. It is one of the worst time to distract me. Also when prepairing myself for a meeting or lesson I don’t want to click throug a myriad of at that time unneeded messages. How do I silence the Miro Board team?
A countdown timer that you can add anywhere to your board that counts down “days/weeks remaining” and “working days/weeks remaining” remaining to specific deadline/date. (toggle for holidays or black out dates in preferences) (toggle for weekends).
When I create a frame around some objects, they should automatically be grouped and attached to the frame.
It is time consuming Clicking on each Team Project and review/editing Team Member’s Roles. Please add a method to see an overview of all Projects in one interface manage Team Members.
Ability to have dynamic @mentions in cards or the Notes section. Examples would be: @today @now @me. This is functionality other vendors are providing.
We use integration Google Meet and Miro integration. It’s the best integration, I think. But something is missing in my opinion:Edit access option in a meeting. For example: restrict editing, when integration was started or conversely Names of collaborators from the conference. For example the user is not logged in to Miro, but the name on the board is from the conference Edit the size of the Google Meet frame. By default, it is 300 px, but sometimes we need to make it bigger
Would like to better manage platform cost and suggest creating a contributor level that can create Sticky Notes only. It would be in between a full licence user and View and Comment. We do have users that contribute in some workshop and add sticky notes for retro for example. They do not need or create boards on their own. They do not use other features and could be a lower cost than a full.
As a facilitator it is really annoying that you can't see whether participants have finished voting. This causes unnecessary delays in workshops, when we're all waiting for the time to run out. Obviously you can find a workaround for this, but: the facilitator should at least be able to see how many people have ended voting out of how many participants ideally facilitators could see voting progress (i.e. number of votes out of total cast per participant) in case participants don't press the ‘end voting’ button
If someone puts a URL in a text block, I can click the URL to go to that webpage. Neat!If one user is editing a text block, that text block gets locked off so no one else can edit it. Neat! But it turns out that when a text block is locked off because of editing, none of the URLs work. Uh oh.For example:Miro must know the link is a link, because it underlines it. But because “Andi” is editing it in another tab, I cannot interact with the text.Suggestion: Even though you can’t edit, you should be able to click on a link inside the locked-off box to get the normal popup to go to the linked site.
Miro would be a fantastic tool for managing my todo list if I could filter the list of cards in the pop-out pane on the left by tag and then sort / group by date. Even if manual filtering or sorting isn’t possible just sorting cards by date by default would be a huge help.
Can you make the search filter more powerful by enabling boards to be filtered by the colour of the stickie note. Take a look at the way trello enable cards to be filtered by label / person, it’s this kind of thing. why? myself and colleagues use colour coding to indicate grouping of various kinds. e.g. a collaborative board where each person was assigned a specific colour stickie note. a simple filter would enable analysis / views of the data gathered much more easily.
