    Multiple search terms / criteria / Advanced SearchOpen

    In lager boards the simple search falls short. I would like to be able to sort or find stuff with broader or narrower search than today. I would love to be able to combine multiple search criteria. For example:  Post-its with tag1 AND tag2 NOT tag3. Cards OR Post-its with word OR word    This would be nice both for sorting results of brainstorming. Or finding a specific item.

    Limitless Characters in NoteOpen

    It’s incredibly frustrating that there is a character cap in Card’s Notes.Like more advanced mind-mapping tools, you can input lengthly articles or strings of text / keywords to describe the Card / entity.This then makes your entire board a functional mind-map to search within.For example, as an author, I am currently treating each article headline of mine as a Card. I planned to paste the article text within the note (unfortunately capped). My plan would to then be able to search my board for keywords (words/phrases mentioned within my written articles (in the Card’s notes)) and then be able to locate. My plan was to as publish this entire board for visitors to search my work and be pointed towards an article that I’ve written.A work around is Tags, but even that is limiting too.I would pay SO much money to be able to access this feature

    filter sticky notes by tagOpen

    Imagine a crowded area with lots of sticky. Would be great if one could filter by tag, to show only a subset of sticky notes, and a function to remove the filtering to show all stickies.

    Custom Shape PaletteOpen

    Post-its and shapes are great in Miro, but often I like to create custom notations for my workshops. A custom notation could be the combination of multiple shapes, with styling, icons, and some text.   At the moment this works, but the objects have to be copied. And you have to triple-click them to edit the text.   It would be awesome if I could add a custom palette where users can simply drag a specific notation onto the board, just like they can now with existing shapes or post-its. And this would also mean there is no risk that they can accidentally ungroup the custom shape which sometimes happens.   Here’s an example:

    Unify formatting and sizing controls across objectsOpen

    Please allow all objects to have the same control over the formatting and the sizing. I don’t know what the purpose is behind these restrictions, but it’s really frustrating when trying to build in Miro and using a text box only to find that I can’t size it exactly the way I want without affecting the font size, or not being able to use bullets and number in shapes and stickies, or not being able to use borders on text boxes (really, text boxes don’t really need to exist, you could just use a rectangle if it had the same text formatting properties as a text box). Let us choose how to format our objects and the text inside of them.

    Lockable layersOpen

    I note that Miro does not support layers.   In most professional design/layout softwares, layers are not only used for visibility front/back relationships but locking and many other features that I won’t list here.   Yes, you can manually “lock” and “unlock” in Miro, but this is exceedingly cumbersome and annoying when you have lots of elements. If you don’t lock things, then you or others can easily drag them all over the place.   It would be highly beneficial to have layers that not only are used for visiblity but also for locking.

    Bookmark Frames in the Frame TabOpen

    When sharing my screen to show Miro in a Zoom meeting, it would be really helpful to have the ability to bookmark certain frames for quick reference in the frame tab vs looking for them in the frame list and scrolling through them. Looking for frames in the map isn’t the easiest if the board is very large. Additionally, it would be even better to have frame bookmarks visible outside of the frame tab for easy reference.

    Enable Universal Control on tablet app for iPadOpen

    I tried to control Miro iPad App by MacBook Pro M1 Universal Control, but it seems somewhat weird.✅ Single click on sidebar and settings works well✅ Zoom in, zoom out works well❌ Single click to add tools (like text, shape, ...) doesn't work❌ Select / Drag doesn't workIs there any way to make it work with the same behavior on MacBook?

    Critical: Templated Referencing of Miro groupings/ containersOpen

    For larger organizations with complex cross dependent teams its critical for users to be able to create groupings and elements(might be timeline representations, or a teams feature functionality that is subject to change) and have them structured and grouped such that they are able to be inserted into many other boards, but retain links to the original so that updates can propagate through. Currently I can’t find a way to do this! The ease of communication with Miro brings mass amounts of data, but then the downside is the propagation of stale data and the power of Miro is negated as soon as the overhead of maintaining core truths to a project, such as a timeline or a core set of directives or a feature set functionality that is needed to be referenced between different teams boards becomes apparent.I am slightly baffled that the Miro team has not comprehended this would be a problem space and adequately provided a solution to accommodate this already. It really is critical tooling for larger and complex teams dealing with feature developments. How can something like this be elevated in priority and made critical path development for Miro development?

    Auto-convert pdfs to raster format on uploadOpen

    As architects, we upload a lot of pdf drawing files. When a board has a large number of these, it can become very slow and hard to navigate. One solution is to instead upload the drawings as a raster file such as png. But the conversion is time-consuming. Could Miro have an option to choose whether a pdf is uploaded as vectors or raster? or an option to convert it once it is on the board?Once converted, this could also allow other handy features like cropping… Thanks!

    simple way to add postits for low tech profile usersOpen

    Include a way to submit a post-it to a frame without the need to open miro (for low band connections,  low memory pcs or just user with no skills in miro navigation) just open a form or text box, in the “active frame” and drop your note there.

    Improve performance on Kanban BoardOpen

    When using the Kanban Board framework, which is generally great, the performance really hampers the experience. Particularly when zoomed out, or scrolled down such that the status headers become floating, frame rate becomes noticeably worse, sometimes even unusable. This also seems to apply to typing inputs, which are delayed and laggy.

    Sidebar for Projects cleaner and more functional lookOpen

    I find the sidebar quite messy and hard to navigate. I wondered if there was an update of it coming where you can create folders and have folders within the projects too to help make it look cleaner.  Is there also an Archive option of old projects / boards that are no longer used but need to be kept on file?

    Multiple Admin RolesOpen

    At my organization we have separate teams that handle user access, app security, and system administration for all of our applications. Rather than creating multiple Company Admins for these teams, it would be nice to have different Admin roles so that these teams can perform their roles in Miro without the potential of accidentally changing a setting “outside their jurisdiction”.

    Unkink kinked arrowsOpen

    I'm a strict perfectionist with a slight OCD. When I draw a straight line arrow between 2 objects,the line would sometime somehow get a kink that I, for the life of me, can not get straight. Isometime zoom in as far as I can and try and iron it out. The kink would drive me nuts. (And I'msure my company wouldn't approve of me spending minutes unkinking arrows.)Would it be possible to have some kind of unkink/snap feature in place? I know that if you scratchthe problem, you'll probably open up an enormously big can of worms.I appreciate that it's a feature request that would probably have zero alignment with any of yourOKR's and might not even end up on your backlog.Anyways, thought I'll just share this with you.     Hi Product Management Team, Please consider the following use case for a Miro product enhancement. Add an option to redirect new Miro requests to a URL. For example, today we leverage an IAM solution called Sailpoint to support SCIM integration for a self service application entitlement request process. We would recommend enhancing the following Miro Request Management option to include the option to redirect the user to a URL, in our use case the Sailpoint URL.

    Custom Background for Video ChatOpen

    There are a growing number of us (teachers/tutors) who would like to see the option to apply virtual backgrounds (several pre-set options as well as the ability to upload custom backgrounds utilizing images of our own or approved by the companies that we work for as independent contractors) in the video chat/meeting room added for Miro Board. This topic was posted about one year ago, but closed after only 3 people upvoted it.  The topic is relevant and it is clear to us as teachers/tutors that the feature is critical at this point for educational purposes so I am re-posting it to the wish list. Rationale:  While some students attend tutoring during school hours, those who are attending afterschool programs, learning remotely while out sick, or attending tutoring outside of school hours would be able to attend class on an “even playing field”, without identifying their location or standard of living.  Many of our students attend class from their bedrooms, shared spaces in the home, or between activities and would feel more comfortable if their peers weren’t “seeing” into their homes. As tutors/teachers it is imperative that we can utilize professional backgrounds in order to provide our students with a sense of stability and to reduce the distractions that seeing us in different places can present. While we recognize that there are additional software programs that can be purchased that can run in the background, they slow down our already overly taxed computers/limited internet bandwidth and make the experience “laggy” or “glitchy” for our students (more than they already are) in some cases.
