    Spatial.chat style videoOpen

    I would love to see something like spatial.chat in Miro. I want to use Miro to run group work for online classrooms. I use an inquiry based learning approach called POGIL in some of my classes that has students work in teams of 4 on problems. In a physical class I would have square tables each with four seats and students collaboratively editing one printed document per team/table. I can see the same thing happening in Miro--post the PDF for students to work on and let each group have its own space on the whiteboard to work. The problem is that they couldn’t all have their audio / video running, so I’ll have to manage it through some external tool like Zoom. I would strongly prefer, however, an interface like https://spatial.chat where each user would have a token small video window on the screen that they could move around and the closer you are to someone else the more you hear them. This way I could “walk around” my virtual classroom and have the ability to overhear what students are working on without the full on interruption that accompanies the instructor jumping into a Zoom breakout room.  Also it is important to have the audio attenuation so you can still hear (but at a much lower volume) conversations that are occurring elsewhere in the classroom. This way you can jump over to a conversation that’s going on and point something out but it’s not dominating everyone’s audio. For those who haven’t used spatial chat: You have a token you can drag around a digital space with the mouse (which happens to include your video, though this isn’t a requirement IMO). The closer your token is to another person’s token, the louder their audio is for you. It feels a lot more like being in a room with a lot of people chatting and you can drop in and out of different conversations by “moving around”.

    Customize toolbar for anonymous guest editorsOpen

    Good evening, I'm starting to use Miro to conduct focus groups with consumers. My problem is that many people are not very technological, and they risk getting lost or not understanding which tools to use. I would like to be able to customize the tools that guest editors can view and use, in order to make them find, at their access, only what is really needed to do the job (sticky notes, the ability to upload images, the search for icons , the text tool may already be sufficient). Is it a feature that could be developed for the future? Thanks.   Roberta

    There are multiple kanban boards I participate in, in multiple miro boards. I would love to view cards that are assigned to myself across all miro boards and all kanbans.When using Microsoft planner, there is such functionality in Todo.

    No connecting lines in mobile app?Open

    It seems ridiculous that I cannot add any connecting lines in the mobile app, this is surely a core feature of a utility such as Miro no?Please add this functionality as soon as possible, it is being greatly missed!Thanks

    More personal organisation beyond "Starred boards"Open

    My UX team works cross-functional, and we have to switch between many, many, many boards daily. Locating and organising the boards I use is becoming increasingly difficult. There is a great adoption of Miro by my organisation which is fantastic, but at the same time, finding the board I need sometimes is an impossible feat. I would like the option to create my own folders/tags/categories/sections where I can organise the boards I need/use for any given project, independently of what Miro Project the board belongs to. Similar to how 'Starred Boards' works now, but with the added ability to create different categories that I can name myself. For example, with Slack, besides having a 'Starred' section, I can create Sections to organise and group channels. That way, I can organise things my way, making things more accessible and more efficient.

    Create shapes from single linesOpen

    Hi,I like to be able to convert single lines into new shapes so that I can create custom shapes more easily and in a flexible way. I did try to group shapes together to create new ones for instance like in the picture below. But this does not look as prity as it would if it was one single shape.So how about: connecting lines together so an closed area is formed. Converting this to the shape will then add the possibility to change the area color.In the ideal case you can just drag and drop that new shape to the shape library.This screenshot shows new shapes grouped together from basic shapes like rectangles and triangles.  … here an example that shows the use case….  Another reason for my wish: When puzzling shapes together from basic shapes this is what happens after scaling them up and down a bit. A single shape resists that process much better.

    Hi, I'm glad that you added the ability to transfer the tree of subsections to mindmap, but something else is missing, when transferring a subsection, there is no way to transfer related pictures and description with it. It would be nice if you added this feature.

    Highlight some lines or part of codeOpen

    When I present something I often want to mark down some part of code in code block.It is more understable when in big part of code there is something marked down. I provide context with longer code but focus attention on detail. Eg on differences between two parts of code. But there is no way to do it. I could eg click on line numbers to highlight line. I would also like to highlight specific parts of code eg with Ctrl+B. Consider also including code compare tool, this is often useful in work to demonstrate something, eg we migrate service so I want to demonstrate differences in DB Schema.

    Hello, first of all I want to thank the miro team for such a wonderful service. I dream that in the future there will be an operating system in the form of an infinite mind map boardBut it is in your power to bring this future closer. I want to offer you the idea of uploading a full web page to the mindmap map while maintaining the active links of the site, that is, not a screenshot of the site. This will allow you not to go to the browser and read articles directly on the map. I assume that this may slow down the program, so you should take care of optimizing resources and increasing the application's ability to fix this problem. But in this way, you will be one step closer to the future design of operating systems, and you will be able to develop further in this direction.

    Writing with voiceOpen

    A feature that transforms speech into text whenever triggered. Useful if you quickly want to dump stuff for a mindmap or sticky notes and reveal connections (in my use case many single words or short sentences). Could be triggered instantly when selecting the new “voice writer” tool: as soon as you click on the board, the text box pops up as usual but only voice inputs are allowed. Could also be triggered with the standard text writing tool when holding a button.

    Expand Analytics & Admin InsightsOpen

    For those of us looking to understand how Miro is being used within our organization, how well adoption is going, and what the sharing & use of Miro boards really looks like, it’d be great if the admin insights could provide more information.During our pilot of Miro we tried to determine some success metrics & KPIs but found that many of the things we had in mind weren’t measurable or the data simply wasn’t collected by Miro.Some way of quantifying how much a board has been used would be nice. Perhaps:The total size of the board in bytes? The amount of entities on the board? How much of the (infinite) canvas has been used? (i.e how much distance between the two most distant entities on the board?)It’d also be helpful to see more intimate detail on sharing. Rather than simply telling me how many times a user has shared a board, the ability to break down exactly who has shared what boards & with whom would be helpful. If a user generates a sharing link, and then posts it somewhere for guests or random users in their organization to join, a way of tracking who generated the link & who joined from said link. And/or a way of viewing all of the active & valid invite links for your board, and the ability to invalidate or delete old invite links if you suspect they’ve been sent to bad actors or the wrong group.

    User/User-level based frame visibilityOpen

    This feature allows board owners and editors to have three (maybe more) levels of visibility control: high, middle, and low access. High access users can view all frames on the board, middle access users can view certain frames, and low access users are restricted to only specific frames, whether in the context of a presentation or otherwise. This feature ensures that users have access to the relevant information they might need or should focus on, while also maintaining security and privacy for sensitive information. The feature also includes the ability to draw a boundary around frames to make macro visibility selections for certain user levels, so that the process of setting visibility levels does not require making one selection at a time.

    I’d love to see the Miro AI feature add a SWOT-oriented capability.  Being able to consolidate multiple SWOT frames (where different individuals or teams might have added their assessments) into a complete one, and (separately) being able to consolidate within each domain (S,W,O, & T) a summary of the findings.  This would greatly facilitate complicated SWOT assessments toward identifying areas for improvement.

    Pagination in boardsOpen

    Hi.I wonder if pagination would be a good idea in Miro boards.Sometimes boards are organized by projects, or folders (that would be awesome too), but with pagination there could be a new page associated with the board you're on.The board performance sometimes is affected when there are so many elements, with pagination there could be completely new boards, but all just inside one single board, without requiring folder structures (folders is a very nice idea btw).Another use could be iterative processes, so there could be no more impact on performance on devices due to all things being in just one board, and not on different ones spread with different links. That way in one single link there can be various boards related to a task, project, or anything.So what do you think? Could this be useful for Miro?Thanks

    Retain zoom when following someone's cursorOpen

    Please please please stop changing my zoom level when I click someone’s cursor to follow them. It makes the camera zoom out WAYYY too far and I can’t read any of the text in the Miro board, which makes the feature useless in practice.

    Four different Object Lock optionsOpen

    Please do not ignore, this idea will make Miro shine!!!Idea for Miro developers - more lock options for objects or items:Size lock - If it is on. Users cannot change size of objects video frame or box with text input, but they able put diferent content inside. Content lock  - If it is on. Users cannot change content of objects video frame or box with text input, but they able to change physical size of this object make it biger or smaller. Position lock - If it is on. Users cannot change position of objects on board. But they will change other parameters (size and content). All lock - This is similar LOCK option what Miro have now.Combination of those 3 Lock options fixes all problems with naughty boys who looking for trouble others, and help realize teacher ideas by 100%.Imagine as teacher You made frame for picture for every student.Student must insert picture only in this frame. Not make frame biger or smaller or move it away.It is posible if teacher use size lock and position lock.But now it is imposible!!!!Students make mess on screen, make frame bigger, delete frame or do other nasty things! Please, please developers make this 4 diferent Object Lock options in next upgrade for Miro board!!!! Best regards and hope for reaction soon, Normunds Barbans

    Option to hide frame's borderOpen

    It would be nice to have the option to hide frame’s border, similar to hiding the shape border. When having frames in frames, it can look very cluttered.

    Change how an object being edited looks to other collaboratorsOpen

    When I am working in a text box it’s greyed out for collaborators and they can barely read it. I would like for it to not be greyed out, and instead just highlight the frame. I would like collaborators to be able to write in the same text box while I am writing, if needed.  If this is a feature that is needed by others, it would be nice to be able to turn it off.

    Sometimes I just want to draw a line. Without a connection to an element. I wish there would be a button where I could decide snap to elements or not. So I could use the line just to draw something like a plan or so.

    Editing same object by multiple users at the same timeOpen

    Hi Miro team,Here is a user story that becomes a huge blocker in our team collaboration on Miro boards, and every time we stumble upon it we are forced to go to another tool which supports proper live collaboration.As a user whenever another user(s) is editing an object,I would like to be able to edit the same object at the same timeso that we can collaborate on the same object simultaneously. My guess as engineer is that there is a technical limitation that doesn’t allow editing the same object by multiple users at the same time (locking on object level). This seems to be not a big problem when an object is something small, like a sticky. However, it becomes a bigger problem if you are trying to draft a text in a text view together. Same if you are trying to work on a story card within User Story Map. One person can write down all the text and change attributes (tags, color, status etc.), but the rest of audience can only observe and wait, they cannot collaborate on different parts of the same story. Locking on object level also creates unnecessary friction, whereby one person clicked on object, interacted with it and then forgot to clear the focus, and if another person wants to interact with this object they need to ask that first person to release the focus.
