Video file support

Related products:Other

Can you give please support video files. I need to be able to quickly drop mp4s onto my canvas. Linking from YT or Vimeo is a flawed experience and ruins the clean look of Miro. I’m fine if this is only supported with the payed plan, but it’s preventing me from subscribing.

Was it helpful?

Hi @Oren Haskins

Sorry to hear about your frustration with video options. There is one workaround (detailed in this thread) that says:

Looking for a way to place a video on a Miro board? :projector:

You can upload the video to a video-sharing platform (YouTubeVimeo, etc.) and simply paste the video link on a board using the shortcuts Ctrl/Cmd+C/Ctrl/Cmd+V. The media will be displayed right on the board!

Hopefully this provides a workaround for you.

Ctrl/Cmd+C/Ctrl/Cmd+V does not work on my MacBook Pro using Chrome for either Vimeo or YouTube. When I use the upload function and paste the link to a public version of the file, it works on YouTube but not with Vimeo. I have confirmed that the Embed toggle is set to Embed Anywhere.

Any thoughts? It shouldn't be this hard. Is there a 3rd party app?
