This is a method of business process diagraming recommended by Salesforce. It has the advantage of greater depth of information but with fewer elements vs a typical swim lane diagram, for example.

Here is an article from a blog about it:

Here is some intro training from Salesforce about it:

Was it helpful?

This is a great notation for a certain level of process mapping. An easy to use template will go a long way!

Having a UPN template … well, and also the ability to “drill down” would be amazing on Miro!

Ludid has it - and with Oct. 6, 2023, Salesforce is enforcing the use of it in its Architect Evaluation and Architect Review Board portions of the CTA credential.

Would be a smart move to have it in Miro as well.

Definitely add to the desire for this. I have switched from Lucid to Miro, but I need to have a Lucid account open for this purpose. Salesforce has standardized on UPN.

Hi @Paul Cohen and @Ethan Hartter

Thanks for following up! We don’t publish timelines but I can point you to our changelog [ https://miro.com/changelog/ ] where you can follow for weekly updates on new features and improvements.

Highly recommended by CTAs of Salesforce.
Lucid and elements already have this notation templates. Hope Miro will add it on time.

Adding my voice to this, I have made a template for my team internally but it’s hardly ideal and painful moving from tools that support this natively.

Looking forward to a solid Miro UPN template.

1 year later, and…  where UPN template, miro?

please!!

Hi @Eca What does this mean “Our team is keeping an eye out for any updates related to this request”?

I believe UPN is a style of diagramming with high speed to value. Instead of learning shapes, people can naturally start to just drop actions on to a board, and to connect one action to the next. Having Miro support this natively would plug a hole—one that other vendors might use as a wedge to get their foot in the door.
