Dear Miro team,
The new system for bulk-rearranging objects that was released with the recent update has had a massive negative impact on my workflow and productivity.
The original system (grabbing and pulling the symbol at the top-right corner of a selection) was elegant, smooth, and efficient. All of this with a single click and drag. It was perfect.
Now I have to…
- Click the icon in the top-left corner
- Scroll down or zoom in/out to find a pink bar at the BOTTOM of my selection
- If I’m zoomed out slightly, the pink bar can be too large for me to select the collapse/expand functionality, so I have to zoom in really close to make the pink bar smaller.
The new system is also buggy:
- The rearrangement symbol doesn’t always appear after selecting a group of objects.
- An layered stack of stickies will not un-layer when using this system -- it just shifts the stack around
Please, please, please restore the original system! 😫🙏. This is a huge step in the wrong direction.
I also wanted to add that I’ve spent a lot of time trying to accept this change and looking for ways to use it effectively, but it has been an ongoing challenge. I see no worthwhile improvements. I see only drawbacks. Am I the only one who feels this way?
