When pasting text with a numbered list and then selecting the “format numbered list” option, the redundant numbers in the text are retained. Please implement an auto-cleanup code to remove the redundant numbers. See attached image for examples.

Clarification;
This is related to Shape/Text widget switching.

This occurs when switching widgets between shape and text.

  • When Pasting (a numbered list) into a shape, then later switching to text widget
  • Switching from Text to Shape, then back from Shape to Text.

This occurs when formatting text in a Text widget when source text contains numbers.

  • When a numbered list of text, is in a text widget, and only part of the list is selected and converted to numbered list.
    e.g. A list of 5 items, and formatting 4/5 items to a numbered list.
    e.g. A list of 5 items and de-formating 2/5 items to remove numbered list
    e.g. A list of 5 items and choosing bullet-point format.

This does not occur using unmodified text with Text widgets.

  • Pasting a numbered list into a text widget.
    (Source text remains unchanged, Miro suppresses the repeated numbers)
  • Typing into a text widget.
    (Miro formats correctly, but doesn’t change the source text)
