switch to a read only mode

Switch to presentation mode on the board, then it is view only.

I’m also looking for a View Only mode since Presentation Mode is not made for this at all, and it keeps sending a notification every time you switch between Presentation Mode, make a change, and then switch back (sending a notification, etc.). Also, Locking Protection is NOT AN OPTION. I have received this answer from support, along with an image suggesting that if we need to lock and unlock every little box, text, icon, etc., it’s not feasible.

Proposed solution: A View Only mode on the side of the board as part of the tool, like a hand or eye view, to switch from editor to viewer.

To list a few use cases:

• Mobile: It is very hard to view and move around without changing anything on a mobile or tablet.
• Large activity: When conducting a large activity like a workshop, hackathon, etc., you may need to view and just copy/paste text without modifying the Miro board. I had a situation where I did a CTRL-A to select text, but a refresh of the Miro happened (a bug on the server now fixed) just before I press Ctrl-A and took the entire Miro board and duplicated it, which totally messed up the board. So definitely, a View Only mode would be welcome.

Bonus option:

• When doing a large activity, having a way to select a frame/windows that is editable only for us so we don’t impact other teams next to us in the same board. 

Guys, come on. How have you not implemented this? Don't tell me about the ways to lock one little thing. I don’t want to change ANYTHING in the board, including locking things. I want to prevent myself from editing temporarily. Everyone other piece of productivity software I use has this feature. Get it together. I am tired of messing up boards because I clicked in the wrong spot.

Guys, is there any update on this request? I think this is a must have feature. 

This is so needed! I always find boards I manage being messed up accidentally by people trying to navigate on the board and are not used to Miro.
