Smart diagram bug

Hi Miro Team,

I wanted to share some feedback about the Smart Diagram feature. Recently, I accidentally clicked “Make it a diagram” on a frame, and it converted all my content into a Smart Diagram object. Unfortunately, there is no option to undo this conversion or to “break apart” the diagram back into individual objects.

This caused a lot of disruption in my workflow. I lost the original editable objects and had to restore a previous version of the board, which made me lose other recent work. Copy–paste also just duplicates the diagram object instead of flattening it into regular shapes/sticky notes.

It would be incredibly helpful if Miro added a way to:

  • Ungroup or convert a Smart Diagram back to its original objects, or

  • Flatten the diagram so we can keep our content without the diagram logic applied.

This would make the feature much safer to use, especially since accidental clicks can currently lock users into a format they didn’t intend to use.

Thanks a lot for considering this, it would make the experience much smoother!
