Reordering boards and sections

Users should be able to reorder either the sections or the boards within a space. Currently, the order of sections is determined by their creation time, and there is no option to rearrange them afterward. As for boards, there is no specific logic governing their order when moved to a section.

Having more control over the arrangement of both sections and boards would enable users to organize them according to the workflow of their projects, significantly enhancing the overall user experience.

Without reordering sections, it makes it hard to use this feature. I want to house all project information in Miro, and I need things like “Project Background” at the top. Thank you!

Okay, i'm currently trying out the sections feature, and the fact i can't reorder them seems like a missing feature and/or bug.

Please fix

Another vote for fixing section and board ordering within a Space. What should be a useful feature is rendered effectively unusable by the inability to do this. Even default alphanumeric ordering for sections would be better than nothing - at least you could then force an order by using numbers in the section names.

How are spaces and boards currently ordered?
I’m trying numbers, underscores, asterisks, and nothing I can figure out to make sence of this.

I’m pulling the little hair I have left trying to make this orderly and understandable for a client hahaha… Please Help!

@Eca: Use case:

  • Miro users start using spaces to organize their work
  • At first they’re thrilled - spaces make it much easier to find things in Miro
  • As more spaces get created, it gets harder and harder to find the space you’re looking for because the order doesn’t have any meaning to Miro users (it only has meaning to the software - spaces are sorted in the order they are created)
  • Many users expect software to automaticaly sort folders/groupings because software has done this by default for decades
  • Manually sorting items is a nice bonus
