prolonging idle timeout to a day

I use Miro throughout my day. For a few months now, most of the time I have to log in again due to timeouts.

It is the only tool that makes me do that and it frustrates me every time.

Please, increase the timout to at least the reasonable timeframe of a workday!

Since I do not have an enterprise plan, I cannot influence the settings. I consider getting a pro plan, but as this is only for enterprise, which is not eligible for me as a self-employed person, there is no reasonable solution for me and Miro turns gradually from a tool I love to a tool that annoys/frustrated me.

Thanks for changing that! :-)

@Lino Zeddies - I have been using Miro for nearly six years on a non-Enterprise subscription and do not experience "timeouts".

I have the following link bookmarked on my browser bookmarks toolbar for quick access:

https://miro.com/app/dashboard/

However, if while signed in, I were to go to just https://miro.com or https://miro.com/index, then I end up on Miro's main site and am prompted to sign in. So, I would suggest that you always browse directly to https://miro.com/app/dashboard/

I hope that helps!

Thanks for your reply. I get kicked out from open boards in browser tabs actually. I keep some boards pretty much always open and have to sign in again pretty much every time when I open my computer again. And this didn’t use to be the case until some monthsa ago. (I assume they changed some settings).

@Lino Zeddies

I keep some boards pretty much always open and have to sign in again pretty much every time when I open my computer again.

Thanks for the additional context. This this explains why I have never experienced being signed out – not because I I am not on an Enterprise Plan, but because I don’t leave boards open for extended periods of time.

Another question: Are you a Guest on any of these boards? if so, and if those boards are in an Enterprise Plan, then any configured sessions timeouts could be affecting you, e.g., the host Enterprise Plan’s session timeout settings could have recently changed, i.e., a lower duration, or enabled all together:

As per the Enterprise Plan Idle Session Timeout help center article, these session timeouts can affect Guests, i.e., non team members:

Hey,

some boards are my own, in some I am guest - makes no difference. But it seems to me, that while the enterprise plan allows for specific timeout durations, for all non-enterprise accounts, the timeout duration is super short (which was changed a few months ago, before it was no issue). But that means, if an enterprise version is not eligible for you (i.e. self-employed), then you can’t get around it. Therefore it would be great if Miro changed that feature and gave that setting to all paid plans.
